Chris Simms rejects plea deal on weed charge

And I know everyone's heard the argument a million times in favor of legalizing pot, but how do we just ignore how ineffective the war on drugs has been?

Even if we could all agree on the morality of drug use (which we won't), are we just supposed to keep doing the same thing even if it's proven almost entirely worthless in stopping said "crime"? Kids are still getting drugs regardless of its illegal status. In fact, several studies have shown that pot is even easier to get than alcohol or cigarettes.

We can make all the moral laws we want, but if a large enough percentage of the population disagrees w/ them, we will just ignore it. Humans have been taking some form of mind-altering drugs for thousands of years, and we will continue to do so.

IMO, we need to focus more on making drug use safer by providing better information, more help for people that actually need it, and taking the end product out of the hands of actual criminals.

People stoned or drunk in a room full of sober people, like in an office building where people work, stick out like a sore thumb. Hell, you can even tell in the office when people are hung over or tore one up over the weekend.

If you don't think that is Career affecting, good luck in the real world.

We have a Monday morning meeting at 8:00am sharp, you better have your **** together. I have a feeling stoner boy is late on Monday mornings and doesn't really do anything productive on Mondays. Probably quotes Office Space and calls it the Mondays.

You can post all of your so called sceintific links or quotes you want, marijuana affects your system for days and it is noticeable in the work place.
