You know TWO of their girls are underage (there are now age limits), but they now have official passports that say they are of age!

Remarkable, no?!?!

I hate the Chinese government.

And I am pulling against every Chinese person in this Olympic games... even though I have limited what I will watch to SOCCER and then highlights of swimming.

I got to see what you guys were talking about and I also think there is no way. Hornin may give input since he lives there. Often Asians can look younger but that is ridiculous.

I've seen accusations that 1/2 the team is under the age limit, but whatever documentation is needed, you can be assured it will appear. They all look like about 12 to me.

it just doesn't matter. it just doesn't matter. a few years from now, when you're half-drunk in vegas, watching them in a cirque du soleil show, you won't give a damn how old they are. or whether our own midget gymnastics women won gold in the olympics.

Bela just called them out in the NBC studio in Beijing, saying they were 14 and 15 year-olds....not sure that I would do that until I was on American soil.

This is ridiculous. China trots out underage gymnasts, and the Chinese Government gets them identification saying they're of age to compete.

The first girl up on the final floor exercise for China is one of the ones that is in question. She is said to be the youngest one at 14 I think the other is either 14 or 15 but older than said girl I'm referring to at the moment.

I took one look at that girl and I honestly thought she was 12. I would debate that she is 14 but there is no way in hell she is a 16 year old girl. Don't try to convince me a 14 year old that looks like a 12 year old is a 16 year old. You would have better luck convincing me aggy is rational and suffers from no effects of group think.

Yea Bela! Call it like you see it! I watched the medal ceremony and all but one looked under 12. More like between 10-12. Sick.

Do you think China actually considers whether the girls might pass for 16 when they chose their team? I'd wager there might actually be some 12yr old girls that might be even BETTER yet they looked even younger. There is probably some 4' 0" 10yr olds in China that might be better than anyone in the world.

wouldn't china have some 16 year olds that are as good as their 12 year olds? they train in the same program.

Bela doesn't think there should be an age limit, but since there is, I suppose countries should abide by it.
It just isn't very interesting to see young kids tumbling-I don't know if that is the reason for the rule or not, it also seems like it would be easier at that age-10-12.

that one shick is missing a freaking incisor. yeah. lots of 16 year olds lose their baby incisors that late in life.
