Chicken-Poop AD of the Week

Total Bush League stuff there.

Remember the SWC, when visitors got plenty of tickets and the visiting bands were usually down low near their team?
That was by consensus. There is no consensus on the issue any more. Maybe it changes for SEC play

Bands are what separate CFB from the NFL … like Sabre said … our band will be a non factor as well next year in Tuscaloosa … what a pity … for a few extra tickets sold

BA
Which do you think should have priority for tix to a Texas game?

I bet if you checked you'd find the same policy at many schools with sold out stadiums.
Remember it is Alabama who decided who their tix would go to.
Just saw your post before I reposted … game day CFB is more important to me … which includes away bands … I love The MoB making fun of the SWC … again, CFB is better with both bands imo

I guess BA the point is that Texas didn't do anything "Chickenpoop"
What they did was outlined in the contract Bama and Texas both signed
And nothing unusual vis a vis other schools policies.
Did you by chance research Big 12 policies?
Or policies other programs?

Interesting that bands are so important.
You realize Bama could have brought their band
WHY didn't they??.

I hear the SEC requires visitor bands on the lower level so this problem will resolve before Bama returns in, I'm guessing, 2032.

Interesting
So does the SEC require extra tickets just for the band?

There ARE lower level tix in Bama's allotment. Texas/CDC didn't specify to whom those tix would go. THAT is Bama. Bama could have put the band in lower level seats.

There's plenty of competition this week.

I've got Josh Brooks - #2 U. of Georgia, for scheduling Samford

Really? DISGUSTING choice....

To me, that would be like UT scheduling Southwestern in Georgetown, Austin
College in Sherman or Trinity in SA. :rolleyes1:

Dunno. I read it recently with the Bama band problem. It was a quick piece of info and could be wrong.

This week, I nominate Dan Radakovich, of the U of Miami, for scheduling the most pathetic offense in the history of the NCAA. Probably just to help Manny _iaz look better.

EDIT: I have been informed that Manny _iaz is no longer at Miami, a fact of which I was blissfully unaware. My nomination still stands, but I'm a little embarrassed about my lack of knowledge on the coaching change front.

Including Head Coach Mario Cristobal, defensive coordinator Kevin Steeleand linebackers coach/co-defensive coordinator Charlie Strong bring in about 20 years of head coaching experience alone.

How else do you expect Samford to get the money to expand?

1) Miami isn't playing Iowa
2) I did see that not only did aggy lose College G_ _ eday (you will notice what isn't present there), they also made a change in QB...time will tell if they get a Nebraska-esque result with the change.

Folks, we have a repeat offender already this year.

Mighty #1 Georgia takes on Kent State

SFA beat Warner 98-0!

I never heard of Warner.... browser search says Warner U. is D1 in FL with 1200 students. I strongly suspect playing @ SFA did not get them a big check....

Shame on SFA AD for scheduling them and shame on the HC for running up the score like that.

My understanding is that a conference change meant that a previously scheduled game ccouldn't be played...and, as a result, SFA found someone on short notice. I seriously doubt that even their AD anticipated it would get anywhere CLOSE to a 100 point shut out.

The AD's I have problems with are the ones that schedule these cupcakes years in advance. However, there ARE some occasions where a game scheduled 5-7 years out looked like a valid, albeit lesser, opponent and then the team falls off the cliff. I mean, do you REALLY expect that directional State expected Miami to suck THAT much when that game was booked?

I'm just upset my Warner +98 pushed...I also had the O/U at 98, so that was a push as well. I KNEW I should have bought that half-point...
