See this article from rivals.com - Ten biggest surprise commitments

#1 (Jefferson), #4 (Wheeler) and #10 (Burt) are Texas commits, and #2 (Gentry) is a Texas decommit. Charlie has been kicking ***.

I think they wrote the article too early. Otherwise Locksley, Soso, Mack, etc would be candidates for the list (if they come through).

I've never observed a head coach and his staff work as hard as this one.

aggy now has to worry about 08 June - the start of the MLB draft. The draft order is Link.

he is as good of a pitcher as people claim he will go in the 10 ten. Since he has no future in the NFL due to size, and he is a top 10 pick that passes the money up to ride the pine for at least 2 years in collie station, banks accounts will need to be checked.

Viper, this is one of the reasons that I am surprised by his decision to go Aggy. I get that his heart may be in College Station but, if he never sees the field because of Kyle Allen, what was the point? At least at Texas he would have had a legitimate shot at starting in 2015. We're that to happen and had he been successful on the field, then the baseball/football decision becomes considerably more difficult.

None of us know what the future will bring. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Not to mention less risk of concussions. That is beginning to be a real concern. Know several ex football players who have real concerns about long-term effects as they age.

I can see a talented multi sport kid who is likely going to go pro in baseball committing to a school 1 he already committed to, and 2 his father went to because there's no drama for the next 4 months.

100p, in your analysis of baseball versus football, a very important aspect was missing: Passion. I would agree that from a financial and health perspective, the choice is a no-brainer, it's baseball. But I believe that the primary driver in the decision making process for many (and I hope, most) athletes is their passion for the game, be it baseball or football. Also, it is almost unheard of that an athlete can be equally proficient in both sports. Even the amazing Bo Jackson was not equally proficient. Not even close.

Back to Murray, I have no idea where his greater talent lies. But, based on his size, at the professional level I would guess baseball.

I agree - 100% petal to the metal effort by CFS and staff.

We will see, but I think "the decision" has already been made. Why cause a meltdown across the state, damage your father's legacy and future as a revered alum, possibly hurt his business and create anger and hatred towards yourself and family, when it isn't going to matter anyway because you are going MLB? As well, why give up millions to go ride the pine for a year or two or three in football, or at least risk it and risk no or reduced NFL $ as a result and play baseball in a terrible program? He's a young guy. If he wants to, he can go play MLB and make millions now, then come back in a few years and play football anywhere he wants.
