May 28 on FOX network. The two best teams in the world. Manchester Unlited vs Barcelona.

Here is hoping a certain green-eyed Tapatio can bag himself a great big trophy.

**** that. Barcelona all the way, although I am getting quite annoyed with their antics on the pitch with all their ***** diving.

I know this isnt Austin 316, but hey, big anakhanhda, you shouldnt bash ***** diving. There is absolutely nothng wrong with it.

I don't particularly care for MU all that much, but I sure do like Chicharito. His spacing and runs in the box are absolutely world class. I am relishing the opportunity to watch him score big goals for club and country over the next 10 years.

**** Barca and their half Team Espana roster, I see them as a better comparison to the Yankees in the fooball world than ManU. Glory Glory.......

I'm no means a soccer/football expert, but i would disagree that fc barcelona is like the yankees. all of their star players are homegrown from their youth development programs (sort of like the Phillies did a few years ago until they started signing Halladay, Oswalt, and Lee). Man U, Real Madrid and some of the other EPL teams with middle eastern $$, however, sign the high priced free agents whenever they feel like it. Barca seems to eschew paying transfer fees whenever possible but instead assigns huge buyout clauses of $90 million plus to their players to avoid talent raids.

There was a recent NY times article on their system that was a decent read if anyone is interested.

Barcelona swallowed up ManU. It is hard to score if you don't have the ball. Their defense was much more impressive than their attack.

The best team I have seen since Brasil82, but the most complete team I have ever seen.

I won't go that far but I will say that off hand I cannot think of another one better all around. They are ridiculous and fun to watch. The way it started surprised me. ManU got out to a fast opening few series and kept the ball on the Barca side, as we all saw.

Boy did that ever change, eh? C'rito tried and tried but was called offsides time and time again. I like that guy and root for him even though he plays for my most hated team. I hope he stays healthy and drives the Tri a good long distance (minus v. Uncle Sam). He's a fun player to watch and plays hard.

I was stoked by the outcome and my Father (whose family is Catalan), were he still alive, would be too.
