Who ya got?

I don't have a horse, but I am pulling for a good game. Everyone is expecting ManU to win, but I am leaning toward Barça. I want an epic 5-goaler: 3-2 blaugrana.

Well, i obviously don't want ManU to win, but i just don't see how Barca can keep ManU from scoring.

In my honest opinion, Chelsea is playing the best football in the world this past month and would have beat ManU soundly. (i just think hiddink is that good).

Barca with two defenders out just doesn't equal a good evening for them. And i think Hiddink gave ManU a blueprint on how to slow down Messi.
3-1 ManU

Would love to see Barcelona win but I have a hard time seeing them being able to stop ManU. Chelsea should be in the final and going for their scond straight title but for a missed PK in the shootout last year amd some atrocious officiating this year.

This may surprise some but I too am rooting against ManUre. Could it be my fathers family is from Barcelona? Maybe a bit!

Go Barca. May the ManUre players be stricken with the plague at the dinner table tonight.

Two sisters in their mid-20s (one is an economist working at HSBC) who are paying me to learn English. I'm guessing the last futbol game they watched was ~15 years ago.

...although I'd like to take a field trip with the younger of the two. (The NON-economist, NON-married one.)

Yeah, it's an interesting life down here l00p.

OFF TOPIC: I went to a "Goth Party" this past Saturday night followed by a sub-group going to a "Goth Club" at ~2:30am until ~6:00am (normal for BsAs). I had heard most of this "Goth Music" before back in the '80s. Except for back then we called it "Music".

To say that we were posers was putting it mildly, but if it makes the college girls happy, they can paint eye makeup on me every Saturday night.

To bring it back to soccer, my 5x5 soccer team won tonight 12-10 and I had a goal and at least three assists.

I still think that ManU takes it in a slightly disappointing game.

Too bad they don't wipe all of the cards off for the Final.

Hasta mañana.

I wont have any idea who I'm cheering for until I find myself starting to pull for one team during the game. As a Gunner fan I detest Man U. but I love the Premiership. No idea who takes it all.

Ten more minutes. I find the pre-game coverage on Sky Sports is really good. Imagine that! Fox Soccer Channel runs them before the match.

I am more excited about this than the Superbowl here in the States. Not more than a Horns Bowl game but this has its place among the very top events for me to watch every year.

Wow, Barca for sure snatched the game from ManU at the 11 minute mark. The great satan's from Mold Trafford are playing on their heels and defensive. Great passes.

I really like this ref. There were some calls I felt should have been made on ManU early on but he let them play. He has been fair and consistent in calling it both ways and letting them play. He is in control of this game.

The field announder mentioned that Henry took the ball out of the goal and kicked it deep into the ManU fans. I think that is total ******** and a dick move by the Frenchman. The ref saw it but let it go. I sort of wish he would not have and hope he at least went and told Henry he is on a short leash and an eye lash from a yellow. That's just me though and I am rooting for Barca. I don't like extra crap like that. Shut up, Henry, you did **** for that goal. You are doing **** so far. You are **** compared to Ronaldo. Piss off, monsieur.

Haha, as I type that he sprints down the pitch showing signs of his old self pre-knee problem. Merci for proving me wrong!

I wonder what Van Der Saar's blood pressure reads right now? He is under the gun now. Hot head douchebag Rooney playing like crap. I guess if the English version of Materazi is off his "game" if you want to call it that. Little thug. He reminds me of John Stockton. I digress.

Boo. Even rooting for Barca this kick should not have been awarded. I am glad it went off the post and did not go in. I know it happens in soccer/futbol and I know it is usually equal both ways but when replay shows it as bogus I don't want it.

Van Der Saar, wow. Poor dude.

C. Ronaldo is losing his composure. Tommy mentioned he may be losing interest at times when he lowers his head. I think he is just mentally fatigued and frustrated that nobody on his team is playing as hard as he is. The guy is physical and I respect him and his play especially compared to other prolific goal scorers in the Prem. His body is bruised and bloody and considering he is not a striker it is amazing.

But, I hope the man with the body of Achilles, the leg strength of Hercules, the face of Adonis goes home dejected today.

You stay classy, Manchester United! Scissor job and very late by Scholes. Ronaldo getting more chippy, Rooney being his typical self...jackasses.

ManU was lucky they didn't get drilled by more. And my hat off to Puyol who played out of position and dominated. Man of the Match

I think United got too defensive too quickly and lost their aggression. It could have been due to crisp passes and ball control by Barcelona but still, they lost their fire. I think ManU should have kept attacking, almost pretending that goal never happened by Eto'o. Instead they played to not allow any more goals instead of forcing their own.

C.Ronaldo is the only guy who went balls out trying to score and I think most of his frustration was not due to losing but lack of support by his team. They gave up, it seemed.

NOBODY in the meda that I heard from today picked Barcelona. I am sure the players read about this too and it fueled them. There was one guy on tv who picked Barca but only because he had to be the one different pick.

No history for you today, Manchester United.

Nada.

1899, I wholeheartedly agree. What a MAN.

Wasnt sure who I would cheer for when the game started but I quickly found myself on the side of Barca and one of my favorite players Xavi. As others have mentioned...Game totally changed after Eto'o put it away on the first Barca chance.

Now to move on to Everton downing Chelsea.

Wolv, when Ronaldo got his yellow card, finally, Xavi got in his face. He has to be a foot shorter but went up to him and had some words about how BS it was, etc... Xavi has some juevos. He was not **** talking, just talking AT Ronaldo. You have a great player as a favorite. I don't know how many others noticed Xavi in C Ro's grill...well, chin.

All credit to FCB for weathering the first 10minutes and then putting on a passing clinic and subsequently having total control of the match. United had their chances; however aside from CR's shots early on really didnt come close to converting. FCB played the best football and were deserving of the win. I would be curious to see which club would come out on top if a home and home format were used.

Note: Some poster's in their zeal for United hating are starting to sound a lot like fan's of a certain big12 south team who wear maroon.

Loop...I liked how Xavi didnt break eye contact that entire exchange. Greatness. I wish those extremely long-shot rumors of Xavi coming to the MLS would come true....What I wouldnt give to see him in the midfield for the Dynamo.

Disliking United is nothing like aggy towards Texas. Most of us cheer for teams with just as historic backgrounds and great recent success. Aggy can say no such thing.
