CFP Playoffs Set

Memphis, Mizzou, Iowa State, UNLV, Army, Syracuse, Arizona State, Boise State, SMU. What is ranked teams finishing ahead of Aggy and Sooners, Alex?!

Arizona State is ahead of at #4? That's BS!!! We should have that bye. Same with Boise State.

Oregon got the hardest draw—for a #1 seed? The winner of tosu Tennessee? Then maybe us? They should be getting Boise or Indiana or SMU or something.

And as for a Georgia rematch in the championship game, if it happened, they might not have a quarterback left.
Btw, Georgia’s record in past 4 seasons: 54-4

I’m surprised they set up an Ohio State v Oregon rematch in the quarterfinals. The should have switched Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Can we score enough points to hang with the Ducks?
Yes, remember our D. It’ll hold their O in check and the Ducks don’t have the front 7 that GA does. Those guys manhandled our O line, even when we were in 12 package, easily.

Just a thought here. I have become an SEC guy. I love the conference (except aggies, okies and pigs). The one thing overlooked in this is that each participant in the playoff earns $4M for the league in the first round. This means financially challenged ACC gets another $4M for their pot on top of the $4M clemson earned as an automatic. Frankly, I'd rather have the same $16M the BIG earned instead of the 12 we get with only three players.

If Alabama played SMU 5 times, I think Bama wins all 5. That is just my opinion but I think that is how much better the SEC is than the other leagues.

It's true. They need to get rid of the Power 5 idea and accept that the depth in the SEC needs to be indulged. Of course, we probably mocked that kind of talk last year, but I'm sorry, Boise State? SMU? We'll find out about Clemson. No Alabama (9-3 record and they beat Georgia!). No Ole Miss (9-3 record and they beat Georgia!). No South Carolina ( 9-3 record and they beat Clemson!).

I agree with Sark’s view of how seeding should move in the direction of what basketball does - win your conference you get an automatic bid but seeding aligned more with the polls. Also agree in a big way with him that Ewers played very well and that our inability to run the ball was a huge issue with regard to not scoring TDs once we got into the red zone. We had 358 yds passing and 31 rushing. Can’t be one dimensional especially to that extent.

We couldn't have asked for a better pathway. Clemson is no pushover, but definitely beatable. I think Arizona State is dramatically over rated. The Big 12 sucks.
Welp! Worse seeding possible. I thought we had escaped the B12 buzz saw this year but now we are heading for the slaughterhouse!

Don't remind me. Klubnik (sp) played like Johnny Unitas, and Ewers played like Johnny Appleseed.

Please don't quote those worthless statistics. I was at the game and saw it live. I was thankful when he chose Polyester Tech.

I really like Ewers, think he's a great kid, but he didn't show up that day, just like he didn't show up yesterday. Only difference was that he had a quality OL at Jerry World.

Does anyone know when tickets go on sale?
I receive my tickets 12/14/24. Per email, Longhorn Foundation members receive tickets Tuesday 12/14/24. All Longhorn Foundation donors and all football season ticket holders will have access to purchase additional CFP First Round tickets beginning 12/12/24 at 10a.m. More information on the additional sale will come later this week.

Weren’t two of those interceptions by Taafe? We got that going for us, which is nice.
