havent been able to get to the boards today. congrats to you guys. reed is a good player and seems like a good person. solid pick up.

uniformed, where do you get that his speed is a question mark? i haven't been able to find any oofage on him to see for myself, but the word is that most preferred cedric to nathan hughes because cedric is a better pass rush prospect.

everybody who believes reported times, raise your hand.

our sales staff needs to know who you are.

PropJoe, the staff at A&M is making positive strides. Getting a quality athlete like Reed to basically come down to a hard choice between UT and A&M says good things to me about Sherman and Co.

Oh, and Cedric Reed -- welcome!!!

thanks for the kind words.

bottom line is that we've got to improve our defensive performance before we can actually hope to compete for talented defensive players. truthfully losing reed sucks but it doesnt bug me that much. our biggest defensive recruit this year was deruyter. hopefully he pans out for us.

at this point i'm just hoping we have a solid back up plan.

My personal opinions:

Losing Reed is not our coaches fault!

Our coaches abilities to coach and recruit, are exactly what their resumes on rivals, show they are.

It is the fault of the people at A&M that interviewed, hired, supported the hiring and approved the hiring of the Sherman 10 in 2007 and the +5 in 2010!

I have an immediate backup plan for our Board of Regents for ever approving hiring the Sherman 10+5; and the same plan for the Sherman 10 +5, and anybody who interviewed, hired or suported this hiring!

UT would never have hired any of these 15 coaches and your board would never have approved them.

Their resumes are all on the rivals A&M site for free examination going back by each year prior to A&M hiring them?

Just tell me which any single one UT would have hired, in your opinion?

well, i work in a field where our resumes are our calling cards, so to speak. we have a saying that there are two different things called 'ten years of experience'. one is really ten years of experience, the other is one year of experience ten times.

reminds me of the guy who decided to show his dog but was astonished when he didn't get a ribbon. at a quiet moment he cornered the judge and asked what was wrong with his dog. the judge said there wasn't anything wrong, he just liked four others better.

'i don't understand that, sir. you wouldn't believe this dog's pedigree.'

'well, next time why don't you leave the dog at home and bring the pedigree.'

miller, I think you're too tough on your coaches. I'm pretty sure Mackovic would have hired at least one of them...as equipment manager.
