Behind this OL, Brady would look like a 2 star.

Card is not ready for the get the ball a flee
that our QB must endure.

This is Sark’s decision. He knows better than all our HF experts and his money is on the
line.

For the umpteenth time - Card holds the ball too long, cannot read the defense, makes decisions based on HS speed not P5 speeds.

But for those football Einsteins that want to destroy his confidence and future, throw him out there and watch the second coming of Connor Wood.

I think Card's already told Sark he's entering the portal. I don't blame him, I would too. That's the only explanation why he hasn't pulled Casey during the last 3 games when he's struggled so bad. Saw we've been outscored like 56-7 last 3 games in 4th quarter. I don't even want to count the 3 and outs, turnovers, missed open targets, and turnover have been killers.

It's not just at Qb, time to get younger at every position. These jr's and Sr's are what they are...6-7 win good... #0 only exception, he's playing hard and deserves to get paid.

So next year our QB room is Casey (who can't play), 2 walk ons, and a potential signee who all experts have said is 2-3 years away from being ready.

Rattler is NOT a QB for QB at Sam Houston or SFA much less some team headed to the SEC.

Ewers, come in prove it om the practice field, then we'll talk scholarship

Until he grows up or gets tired of carrying the clipboard. Right now he should be watching the news out of Oxford and San Antonio

I was told earlier you can't say things an umpteenth time here.

Thompson needs to watch Corral at Oxford. He knows how to put the game on his shoulders and go win it. When the field opens up he will run for 10 yards instead of trying to make a high risk throw 25 yards down field. The idea is to keep making first downs.

Corral ran 30 times at TN for 190 yards mostly being chased out of pocket. Actually not sure if CT can feel pressure that well.

what happen to the guy that came into Arkansas game and moved the ball down field? And mostly with his feet.

Since before the season I said I wanted the QB who gives us the best chance to win now. If its Casey, which I argued after the Arky game, then Card can develop from the bench. I also said if neither gives us the best chance to win now, then let's get Card the on field play for the future success.

Well, its very clear Thompson has lost it and gives us no advantage. We will probably lose at least 2 of our last 4 so winning isn't really the focus for the rest of the season. Let's cash in across the board,clear the depth chart, name the starters every Friday and let them fight it out every week. We need to play for the future.

I have an idea.
Since Thompson always wins the first half let him play the first half. Then we'll bring Card in to win the second half since Thompson can't.
Makes perfect since.

Hey, why not? It certainly couldn't hurt. If the opponent d coordinator makes halftime adjustments it would completely screw that up!

As a general principle, I like the dual-threat QBs in the college game. But Casey has not been the same since he hurt his throwing hand a few games back. Not at all. I think he's still hurt. He threw some real wobbling ducks yesterday--and we had WIDE open, even uncovered, receivers on those plays. His long throws just haven't been there for a few games.

The problem with Hudson is our OL. Opponents will blitz the stuffing out of him unless and until he shows he can read the blitz and burn them with quick passes. I think he's got the throwing talent, but is he ready...? Now, Hudson is also pretty fleet of foot, but he doesn't have the fluid movements and "feel" for avoiding the pass rush like Casey--yet... Casey has the intangibles. Hudson???

Casey can get us through the season with a winning (or break even) record. But Hudson seems to have more upside potential.

Casey = higher floor
Hudson = higher ceiling

At this point in the season, to quote everybody's favorite politician, what difference does it make?

I think it is time to get Card some more reps. Not to supplant CT as starter necessarily, but to give him more seasoning heading into the off-season.
