BYU at Texas 03.02.2024

Great atmosphere in the Moody tonight with over 10k in attendance and $167k donated to Neighborhood Longhorns Program. OU’s loss took some of the joy away, but I hope it keeps our ladies pis*ed off and ready for revenge.
Not sure I follow. You wanted OU to win at Kansas? Why? Nothing good (for Texas) ever comes out of OU winning (in any sport).

If you're thinking that had Texas won at OU then Saturday's outcome at Kansas would have been a sure loss for OU (giving Texas the outright conference title), there's no guarantee of the same result. OU could have played with more desperation not wanting to lose a share of the Big 12 title.

I'm glad OU lost. They had just been seeded #16 overall in Thursday's reveal; now they have most likely lost hosting a sub-regional in the NCAA tourney unless they win the conference tournament in KC. We'll be recruiting against them (possibly even for Chavez) for lots of Texas kids, so every loss for them is good for Texas, IMO.

A lot of if/thens but what I meant was: IF we had beaten OU, we’d now have the title alone. IF they were going to drop one, it would have been nice had it been against us. IF that ref had done his job correctly, we would have the title alone. IF we had made one more basket… All the IFs stung a little more when OU lost. I’m sure if I was in a different frame of mind, I could come up with some good things about their loss too. Either way OU sucks.

Vic is a class act in terms of his praise of his players. A majority of fans stayed for the ceremony and that is completely different from a few years ago.

OU losses on the road so losing home in the tourney is bad for them. I like having Baylor in the other bracket. Hope we can win this tourney and get our top ranking back.
