Butler vs Texas game thread

^ Thank you stat!

The negativity from some Texas "fans" (or one poster in particular) right before a tournament game is a bit over the top.

There have been plenty of football and basketball games over the years that I had little confidence in winning (see TCU last year), but I never started threads about giving up and not supporting the team. In fact, I and I think most Texas fans are hopeful and rooting for the horns before a game regardless of our confidence in the coach, players or circumstances.

It is even more ridiculous since Vegas actually favors us to win this game whether we will or not.

FIGHT

It's weird, seeing Iowa State losing should make me feel even worse about our chances, but it's actually having the opposite effect - a "see, anybody can have a bad day" sort of thing..

Northeastern out-rebounded Notre Dame 33-17. IF we can beat Butler today.... we may have a better shot against Notre Dame than I or anyone else thought.

ISU going down. They shot the 3 horribly today and simply choked at the end. Baylor in a fight up 3 at half.

After watching the early games and now watching us. We don't run any kind of offense. our off the ball movement is nil.

I few were looking for something different from this team than in the regular season, the first 5 minutes say nothing has changed.

Taylor is the Tyrone Swoopes of basketball. Looks like he could take over a game, and then makes boneheaded play after boneheaded play other times.

It never ceases to amaze. Chance to tie. Holland inexplicably tries to go 1 on 3 leads to Butler run out and then a lazy turnover by Miles. Presto down 6

I have been lucky enough to catch some of the game..... I think both teams are protesting the possible implementation of the 30 second shot clock.

"The Longhorns have more turnovers than made field goals."

Always a pleasant sentiment to hear going into a timeout. Our guards are ****. End of story. Everyone can chat about our frontcourt and blocked shots all they want, but you don't win games if you have **** playing guard. And that's what we have.

As poorly as the Horns have played especially with the unforced turnovers, they still have a chance and this game is there for the taking.

Baylor pulls defeat from the jaws of victory. Big 12 is certainly looking as the leading candidate for the most overrated conference this year.
