"interesting list. thank you for researching and for posting your list, bundy.
coupla questions.
i can't find an adrian wilson on any of the lists. do you mean white? "
Yeah, i'm horrible with names.
"when you say you 'probably' should include dorsey, i assume you mean he would rank as the last dt on your list if you amended the list, is that correct? "
Having seen more film since the initial list, if I had to do it over again I'd include Dorsey in the Top 30. He's probably in the mix for 3rd best DT in the state.
"also, the list appears to rank each position or group from best to least. i don't know if that's a hard and fast rule. if so, are you saying adrian wilson or ?? was the most impressive db you have seen in the state? "
Not in any order.
"similar question re: the wrs. if the wrs are listed in rank order, it seems odd that you particularly like darius and deandrew white and not include mike davis in that comment since he is listed first. ?? "
Not in any order.
"very interested in your comments about case mccoy. i had to double check to make sure i wasn't watching colt. "
To me, the #1 thing you look for in a college QB is accuracy. More so than arm strength. More so than mechanics. With the proliferation of spread offenses, you can turn a 5-yard pass into a 55 yard gain IF YOU HIT THE WR IN STRIDE and lead him towards the open field. If he has to stop, or jump for the ball, or anything other than run through the ball, its only going to be a 5-yard gain.
Guys can get open if you can deliver the ball to the right spot. Guys aren't throwing the ball 50 yards on a rope. Its the short passing game, hitting guys in stride, and throwing the ball in a position where your WR can make plays.
"also, i assume you have seen chris jones and ross apo. would you say they are just off your list of wrs or farther back in your opinion? "
They are nice players. Not really in the same league as those guys I mentioned, but they are certainly players.
Very good year for WRs.
