Brewster To Texas?

Sorry if this has already been posted. Jesus has posted that Chambers will be leaving the staff to take a position in DISD. The name being thrown around as his replacement is Tim Brewster. That would be an outstanding hire if true.

This is a rumor that's been floating around the internet for several days now.

If anything happens, the talk has been that it won't be announced until "after" signing day, which would make sense.

I've also noticed while searching around other recruiting boards and recruiting reports, that of all the coaches making visits, I haven't seen Chambers name come up. My be nothing at all, but who knows. This talk about Chamber's being gone seems to be catching some steam though.

I like Chambers, and was always under the impression that he was one of our better coaches. So I'm not sure how I feel about his possible departure, if all this chatter turns out to be true.
 
Damn!! I keep coming back to this thread to see if there is anymore information on Brew to Texas and all I'm seeing is haha and poop. Damn you all!!
 
Glad I could get this conversation started! No linky to rumor yet linky to DISD provided. However, linky to "I pooped" can be provided but only you a waiver is signed saying you will not sue me for losing your lunch. That is all.

Some say he is going to aggy with Jimbo, and will just use this^ rumor to leverage aggy while they are dishing it out

Some say Jimbo pissed everyone at FSU off including Brewster
 
I really liked Brewster, but I think Corby Meekins is a good recruiter (assuming Brewster comes back as a TE coach). Seems like more smoke than fire.

I heard this morning on the radio that Herman never offered Brewster to come to UT.
 
In all of the haha and poop I did not see an answer to what is/was the big deal about waiting until after signing day to make an announcement?
 
Burton, who is friends with Brewster, says he has had contact from several programs (including one "perennial national power") and has a lot to think about. No decision made yet.
 
Well hmmm, what would our perennial claim to fame be these days. Ugh, I have to get over that TT game and what it's done to my outlook.
