bradford and sophmore slump

MANY texas fans on this site talked about bradford having a soph slump(just because colt did) and I took up for him saying that what colt had around him compared to what sam had around him , were two different things(in their respected soph years). Im here to eat some crow. Bradford last year finished 1st in pass eff, and this year hes second(with 12 td to 2 picks) you were all right , he took a step back. He also had more TDS last night then incompletions.
 
He is having an awesome season so far. With his senior experienced OL he is able to sit back and pick apart teams so far.

12 TD, 2 INT
1 rushing TD

He is efficient, throwing the ball downfield, and not making many mistakes.

He should be Big 12 offensive player of the week if Griffin from Baylor doesn't get it.
 
I'm not so sure that Sam is the best QB in the Big 12. He is really good, but the difference is the O-line.

Teams that can get to Bradford will have success stopping (or slowing down I should say) the Sooner offense.

hate to break it to you but cincy has one of the better defenses in the country. their secondary is head and shoulders better then the one you are fielding at texas. The only way texas has a chance to stop ou's offense is to get to sam, and ou hasnt given up a sack this year.
Stoops has NEVER brought this kind of offensive firepower to the RRR. Heck who knows ou might still lose, but brown has never faced an ou team with this much scoring ability.
Im am serious about the cincy secondary ,2 maybe 3 of those players would start for texas. You better get to sam alot or he will light texas up this year.
As said earlier , ou will be a big favorite(big for the rrr)but anything can happen in a game.
 
This OU team is looking similar to the OU team from 04. That team was loaded with talent and a high scoring offense. Thus I don't buy the OU hasn't come into the RRS looking this good in recent years.

The key to stopping OU will be playing a balanced D IMO. If they can take away the pass 1st by dropping the LB's into coverage and only rushing the DL then I think they will get pressure on Sam that way and force OU to be the grind it out on the ground offense that they don't seem to want to be this year. I do not think stacking the line and blitzing will do much good as Bradford will get the ball to his targets and once or twice they will have a huge run by breaking a tackle. Situational blitzing on 3rd and long and playing pass 1st D will be UT's best option.

Also need to echo the posts of others that OU really has only played 2 games....chatahoochie or whatever only had 2 1st downs and 37 yards in the game that OU led 50-0 at halftime. Washington is now 0-3 as well and maybe one of the worst in the Pac 10. Cincy had no ground game whatsoever but still managed to put up nearly 30 on OU's vulnerable secondary.
 
Bradford is really good. Colt's sophomore slump had a lot to do with inconsistent-to-poor o-line play. Bradford doesn't have that problem.

And this year, neither does Colt.

Texas will be ready to play OU on the 11th, but first I'll enjoy watching Texas play Rice, Arkansas, and Colorado. Should be a fun and interesting season.
 
Of course the trolls are showing up, the love Texas. They take the time to register a username and post. It is flattery just like the Horns down most use...even when not playing Texas. They are truly obsessed to the point they copy our hand sign, buy lots of our officially licensed merchandise and pollute our boards. It is a sad state of affairs for sure but it's all they have in their lives. It is sort of like the Jerry Springer Show.

aggy seeks our validation because they suck to their corps, I mean, core. ou does it because they know they are inferior, that their titles are tainted and their legacy of cheating is a black eye on them. They know they are not truly respected nationwide. So they seek our validation each time a troll posts over here. They don't reflect the contributing Sooners on this and other boards, just the envy and inferiority that many may have for just reasons.

So thanks for the compliments and journey for validation from us, trolls. It ain't a gonna happen though.
 
you really think you can get pressure on sam with your front four.........how many sacks do you have this year??? 2 thats how many. But Im sure thise two teams have much more dominate olines then ou.I can promise you , texas will have to blitz to get pressure, they wont be able to do it with their front four against this oline. they couldnt get to him last year without blitzing , and you lost your two starting dtackles, and we have every olineman back.
If you set back and dont blitz , sam will have 400 + yards against that secondary.
 
Good for those Sooners....If my only two choices on Saturday were go watch OU games on the tube or watch over the neighborhood meth lab...

Oh, I guess you guys really think Cincy was a real deal on defense because those ABC bafoons said so...I'm glad you have them to explain it to you.
 
Drago....oh cause ABC said so....I guess they weren't there to take a look at OU...they was actually six different team there-

They Cowboys had two different reps there.

I guess most here saw the interview with Bradford's dad during the Washington game...What a talker he was....
