Bracket Thread

I hope that we have a great game against WF and lose in the final seconds. I do not want to be humiliated by Ky. I think that's the first time in my life I've ever wished for a loss by Texas but that is what this years bb team has brought me to. That's a shame too.
 
OrangeRB, I understand you are distraught over this year. But, NEVER in my life have I hoped a Texas team would lose. I hope you don't take this the wrong way (really I hope I am just missing your sarcasm) but that is the most stupid ****** up thing I have ever read.
 
Agree with Full Flask. These young guys really need to have more experiences which beating Wake would give them.

Lake Erie, I have had that feeling one time. After the UCLA humiliation early in the season, I so-hoped we'd lose several more games so that Mackovic would get the axe. I felt dirty. But, it was for the greater good.

After 17 games I'm thinking final four and chances for a national championship.

It's hard for me to believe that now I'm thinking one and done and quite frankly hoping for one and done so we don't get humiliated in the second round like Tennessee did in the semi's of the SEC tourney.

Wake played like a vagina done the stretch. Not quite as vagina-like as us, but really bad. We'll probably beat them. Vegas has us laying 4. Too much, but we probably win.
 
Actually, Wake did play worse than Texas down the stretch. Losing by 20 to the last place team in the conference in the first round of the conference tournament, losing 3 other games to teams that didn't make the tournament, and losing to a 9 seed, all in their last 6 games, while averaging 64 points a game, shows Wake is playing really craptastic ball right now.
 
Texas lucked out with a # 8 and playing #9 Wake.

L'ville, N.Iowa and Florida St. would have been a much tougher game and I doubt that we win.

Wake gives us a chance at a win and then we get smoked by KU.
Bilas said that Wake scores better then Texas and Texas plays better Defense (??) then Wake. Depends if Texas brings their D for the ride, they might not and rerun the" Ole" D that we have seen.
 
We are so shellshocked about the past six weeks that we no longer see straight anymore.

The week plus layoff will benefit us tremendously. This is a weak draw if we can win ONE game. Five weeks ago, a game against Kentucky in Louisiana would be a pick 'em. We are still talented enough to win one game against them if we get our head out of our arse. Hopefully eight days off will help with that.
 
if we can win one game, i'll be happy. wake is not playing great right now, but i just doubt we can win one. i hope they prove me wrong. please horns, win a game or two.
 
I am going to be optimistic here.. i think we beat wake. It's been a disappointing season, but look at our 9 losses.

3 - Baylor - #3 Seed
1- Aggy - road - #5 Seed
1 - Kansas - home - #1 Seed
1 - Kansas St. - road - #2 Seed
1- Missouri - road - #10 Seed
1- UConn - road
1- Oklahoma - road

Wake has lost 5 of their last 6 games and of those 5 only 1 team was a tournament team (Fl. St.)
 
And the K-State game was the only one of those road losses that wasn't really ugly--Texas being within a point before the collapse at the 5:40 mark, allowing a dunk, turnover, dunk, foul, ft, turnover, miss, miss, turnover, miss, etc. Closed the game 3-10 with 5 turnovers and 2-6 ft in a 9 point loss. Immediately after that first dunk, Texas went for 4 turnovers, 0-4 shooting (three of them layups) and 2-4 ft. Little did we know then that stretch of bad play was the pinprick in the balloon.
