Bracket Thread

I just predicted we'd go to the Duke bracket, with a second round game against them. ugh

I think they already announced the West bracket, we're not going there.

Okie Lite gets a higher seed then us. We certainly didn't close well, but we did beat them 2x by double digits. Kind of weird.

so no mizzou? or did i miss them already?
Baylor and A&M will be in the South...can't have three teams from one conference in the same region (unless that conference has more than 8 total teams selected)

Wake has Aminu, who is a tough matchup for Texas, since he is both long and quick, but Wake has played like crap for the last couple of weeks, losing 5 of 6, including bad losses to this year's ACC doormats Miami, UNC, and NC State.

just realized I took Thurs and Fri off. may have to make a trip to the Big Easy

Baylor as a #3 seed or #6?

This Texas team is capable of making them look like Gods!

As the song goes, "It's now or never..." for the Horns. They don't get time to regroup or figure things out after the game from here on out. I am anxious for our first game but not excited the way I should be. I am going into it not expecting a win. I don't expect us to lose either. It's a weird feeling to have. Am I alone in this?

When do I dump my Houston Regional tickets? Now? or Sunday afternoon after the South Regional is set? If now, how much should I ask?

Texas A&M and Baylor both could play in Houston (along with Duke and Villanova if seeding holds)

A&M needs to beat Utah St. and Purdue/Siena in Spokane, WA to get to Houston and likely play Duke.

Baylor needs to beat Sam Houston St. and Notre Dame/Old Dominion in New Orleans to get to Houston and likely play Villanova.

Baylor couldn't have done better. Play in New Orleans. Draw Duke, Villanova, Purdue as the other 1-4 seeds in the region, play in Houston the second weekend. Perfect, so long as they get past Notre Dame. Of course, that region could wind up with two Big 12 teams.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Baylor would have such a great home court advantage in Houston. Sure they will have more fans than the other schools, but it's not like they can fill Reliant like we did two years ago. Not to mention probably a lot of Horn/aggy fans there rooting against them.

Aggy on the other hand might.
