Bowl Game Schedule

Every time I look at the schedule that Mr. Fan posted, I'm caught by the "Bad Boys Mowers Gasparilla Bowl. If you were making one up could you do any better? Are the Bad Boys mowing? What is a Gasparilla? Is it for the mower, or the boys?

Well, to his credit, he at least earned his D...the second score came late when LaTech was just trying to kill the clock with less than two minutes.

I remember several years ago (circa 2003), I was in a 32-team bowling tourney new Baton Rouge with four to a team...eight games as I recall. And it was called the Talking Trash tournament, so you KNEW there would be drinking. By the middle of the fifth game, there was next to nothing left to drink in the center. And we had next to no spectators to account for it...

And you would have lost that bet...it was a combination of pins plus match play points, but the team that JUST missed stair-step format had averaged about 220 per bowler.

I still remember because it was MY team, of which we had three of the four women in the event! We were SET to talk some trash...

Listening to VSIN on a regular basis has truly helped with my betting...although I had already made money on Miami before this game by having taken the under for them on the season win total. Channel 204 on SiriusXM.

I did also pony up for the VSIN Bowl Guide...best $20 spent in advance of the trip. While it is just one of several tools available, it has the potential to be more than one thousand times its value, depending on how this next week or so shakes out ;)

Having gotten to watch LaTech when Texas beat them early in the season was another bonus...
