Bowie HS Band student RIP

We just got word that a member of the Austin Bowie HS Band collapsed and died during rehearsal this morning out in Phoenix, while preparing for Fiesta Bowl activities.

Please pray for a couple hundred shook up kids and chaperones; they have to participate tonight in the Insight Bowl pregame show. Also please pray for Robert's family; we understand that the dad passed away just two years ago.

Me and Mrs. Rules are heading out there Thursday, then on to the Rose Bowl, but with hearts a little heavier.

How very sad. It's heartbreaking to lose a loved one and friend but durring the holidays it just seems to make it more heartbreaking.

Yep, a bittersweet moment. After the event was over, the band stayed on the BankOne Ballpark field and played a tribute to Robert.

There's a fund set up to assist his mom and sister.
