Bourbon recommendations

Agree with the Blanton's recommendation. On the expensive side, but wowza--it's worth it. This is my go-to congrats gift for first-born son, bachelor party, etc...

As someone who lives in Kentucky, I go with Eagle Rare. It is made by Buffalo Trace the same place that makes Blanton's. Blanton's is excellent but expensive.

Gotta throw George Dickel out there even though its not techically a bourbon, it sure beats Jack thats for sure. The single barrel is quite nice as well.

Weller is not a bad bourbon, but do yourself a favor and splurge on the extra couple of dollars.

BLANTON'S!!!

Spent a year in Lexington. Was taken to the Blanton's distillery by locals.

Single Barrel
Hand filled and signed by the filler.
Hard to find in a bar unless it is "high class" which is a good sign
Best Bourbon I ever had HANDS DOWN!

I have no idea why but I have been under the assumption for years that Eagle Rare was a product from the same distillery that makes Wild Turkey.

Is this wrong?
