This one was pretty much expected to fall along with Murray, although I guess it's not over yet. Let's hope that Murray's pied piper effect was oversold - it would appear that Malik's got solid hooks into a lot of guys, and some of the other big-time prospects considering Texas are only lightly (if at all) connected to Murray.

Disappointing if we don't get him, but getting Burt back in the fold was huge.

One thing I was wondering: did the recruits consider that Murray could go MLB and never even step foot on campus or not? Seems to follow someone with that kind of option looming would be foolish. You have to make the decision based on the SCHOOL somewhere in the decision making matrix. Coaches and players come and go.
