BO gives our money to Palestine

Take your pick.

Recess appointments when there is no recess in place?

Yeah I know, mean old republicans again.

How about his Medicare slush fund he created so that no Medicare reductions hit until after election day. That's rich. That is without congressional approval, and an abuse of power!

Hey, how about killing American citizens with drones? It's better than waterboarding, right?

Look you are going to have an excuse for every abuse of power. It's okay because he's black, right? Be my guest on that but at least be intellectually honest about it.

Shiner I am pro-Palestinian, but damn it, we give money to all the worst places around the world.

You are right, we are taking away from our grand children.

However, they only want us dead over there because of our actions in their backyard. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hpslugga, so if I buy your argument than you will agree with me that throwing money their way is just more unnecessary interference. Right?

First, it's not my argument. It's been the argument of groups inside the United States government (be it the Department of Defense, National Security Council, etc) going back at least 54 years, if not more.

Second, I do indeed see giving aid to the so-called "Palestinian Authority" as interference in the lives of Palestinians as well as their political system, but probably not for the same reason you do.

Well we can debate which group(s) would "help" the Palestinians until the cows come home, but my point is that the Palestinians do not support those goons. They despise them. That's why they're seen as an illegitimate governing entity: they're absolutely unaccountable and only care about themselves.

That 2006 election was dubbed "free and fair" by the US' National Democratic Institute. The European Parliament's official position, which was articulated by Edward McMillan Scott, was that the elections were "extremely professional, in line with international standards, free, transparent and without violence."

so....you are being sarcastic or the elections were just? My guess would be that they were not just, but I dont know.

There was no sarcasm. I simply told you what two of the monitoring groups said about it. No one has contradicted them thus far.

Hpslugga: If you're going to bring factual information to this discussion, couldn't you at least have the decency to try to find some that doesn't go so contrary to the way we feel?
