Big XII Stadium Food

The buffet inside the UT Club isn't bad. But it ain't cheap, either.

I honestly think that the food at DKR is pretty good. I had seats in the Eastside Lower deck and they had quite a selection. Corn dog, pizza, taco bell,... Compare this to A&M where they have hot dog, popcorn, nachos. That's it.

Speaking of A&M, when we went there in 2005, my wife went to get some snacks at halftime and used her credit card since they took it there. It took them almost 4 months to charge us. I thought we got it free for a long time until it posted like 4 months later. I guess they were busy.

And Baylor does have Chick Fil A.

Remember when we used to have Whataburger at baseball games? I wonder what type of food will be in the NEZ lower deck and upper deck? Obviously at least Starbucks and TGIF.

Taco Bell is all I ever bought there. However, the best stadium food I ever had was at a Colorado Rockies game. They had a Chipotle style burrito place that was better tasting than Chipotle. It was like five or six bucks. I'd think something like that might go over well at DKR. Sorry to get off the Big XII topic.

You would think they would have a vendor there with some kickass smoked turkey legs and BBQ beef sandwiches at least. Even if they had to make up some new entrees like BBQ rib meat, chicken breats, or sirlion rolled up in a soft flour tortilla.

Come on, a lot of stadiums are taking pride in quality food being offered. Let's face it with the right prep station you coudl throw together a fanntastic taco salad in 30 seconds or less.

There is absolutely no good reason why good food is not offered at DKR other than ARA is too lazy to throw out anything but what is standard food prepared by the local high school's booster club at basketball and baseball games. Even then there is no excuse for service gray hot dogs or preparing popcorn on Monday for a Saturday game.

I bet kolaches would be good sellers.
