I think we are a 3 and will be very lucky to see weekend #2 in this tournament. I'm going on record right now to say that I think we are the first 3 seed out of the tournament.

I just can't agree. If UNC is being considered for a 1, I don't see why we're not a 2 with 1 more loss. They might actually have the same number of losses as us come tomorrow if Duke beats them. Don't really think it makes a difference because if the favorites win in our bracket we'll play a 2-3 matchup regardless in the sweet 16 to advance to elite 8 if we make it past round 1 and 2.

Bigtex, don't be such a Debbie Downer...this team is good. Maybe not final 4 good but we should beat 2 inferior teams to make it to the sweet 16. If we don't, our team has underachieved because we have the talent of an elite 8 team.

If we had made it a game I would agree, maybe a 2. But Kansas mopped the floor with us. They are just a damned good team. We are good too but much less consistent, and for whatever reason still make very dumb decisions on offense.

We certainly didn't give Kansas much of a test today. Once again, we can't win a conference championship in basketball. No, I didn't see much in this game to give me hope we will get past the third round and it wouldn't shock me if we lose in the first.

Wow..so you people think we'll lose to a 14 or 15 seed mid major in the first round....get a grip people. We lost to f'n ku who made every shot they took tonight, or it seemed that way. They are quite possibly the no 1 team in the nation. They are better than tosu IMO.

If TT and JH would come back next year, we could be KU good. Just need some players to stick around longer.

KU is very well balanced inside and out.

I think Texas can make it to the sweet 16, but not much further than that.

There seems to be a lot of negative talks on this thread, but my take away is more positive.

This team is not falling apart; on the contrary, the star freshmen and sophomores are hitting their strides simultaneously. The problem is the sudden disappearance of senior leadership, Gary Johnson in particular.

It was a huge relief to see Hamilton step up again. Cory Joseph's offensive production last two games is a pleasant surprise. TT had a bad day today, but he's been hot lately. So has J'Covan Brown.

Whatever happened to Gary Johnson? All of a sudden, he can't hit his shots or free throws.

I'm hopeful he'll climb out of the slump just in time for the NCAA tournament, and we'll be firing in all cylinders once again.

I think Hamilton leaving after this season is a foregone conclusion.

I am no expert, but I believe we could be really good next year if Thompson works on his shooting and comes back along with the guys we have coming in. With Kabongo at point, Joseph and Brown can focus more on the 2G position, as well as give us more offensive flexibility.

A lot will depend on how quickly Holmes and Thomas can make the transition from HS to the college game and of course, there's the Chapman x-factor.

TT only got 11 minutes. We had no chance in that situation. That 4th foul was total BS and with the 2 going the other way on the dunk put back, you never know. In the NBA the team would be applauding an in your face dunk. In Kansas City, it's a foul on TT. KU was the better team and shot lights out. But if TT is on the floor for 30+ minutes, this is a different game. We still probably lose, but refs gave us no chance today. Not sure why I expected anything different in Kansas City.

Balbay, Johnson, Lucas, and Hill all graduating. We aren't losing that much. JH leaving is huge, but this team has a ton of talent coming in. If TT stays, this could be a really good team next year. Hopefully the Morris brothers leave.

It's amazing how losing by 14 to a No. 1 seed on their home court (essentially) translates to possibly losing to a 14 seed to some of you. Some of you guys really do need to back off the ledge a little, because the overreactions are absolutely laughable.

This is a good team that didn't do a good job on defense against a torrid outside shooting team. They were playing a defense that absolutely had them scouted, and that won't be the case in the tournament, at least not until round 3. This team will go Sweet 16, and has a pretty solid chance of making the 8 with a good draw, and then, hey who knows? Frankly, unless you're Duke or North Carolina, that's a pretty good season.

you must remember that our beloved horns probably didn't play all that well because all the team stayed up late with worry about jordans hamiltons brother who plays bball in japan.

I don't think The Horns are likely to lose in the first round, or the second for that matter. They will probably do what Barnes' teams do best - win a couple of games and then go home.

It all depends on the draw. I remember one of Barnes' first teams pulling a #6 seed vs #11 Temple in the first round. That was brutal. I don't think if we are a 3 that we lose to a 14, but I think there is a greater than 50-50 shot of losing to a #6. I hope I am wrong but this team peaked out in the 5-game run at the beginning of conference and hasn't been seen since.

We will be a #2 in the West, or possibly SE bracket if UNC loses to Duke. We will be battling for that #2. If Duke loses, we are a #3 because UNC will take a #1 and Duke will get that #2.

As a #3, I'm not worried about beating a #14 - but the potential #6's that lay in wait are going to be brutal. (read: Cincinatti, Washington, WVU, KSt., Georgetown, St. Johns) Ughhh.
