wow, just looked at the stat line for CP....good thing they don't need her. 6pts. 8 rebounds, 4 fouls. She keeps playing like that she's going to have to start looking for a part-time job soon

ok, I just backed it up on Iowa st's game to see who it was that got hurt. It was #5 (Weiban, I think). Looks like ankle injury. Was in obvious pain. Here is my mini-rant for all coaches this year. Why were the starters in with less than a minute to play & up by 14?
 
was the SDSU coach telling his player to miss the 2nd FT on purpose? kinda what it looked like to me. backfired though, because they didn't get the rebound.
 
Anyone else notice the Baylor player jumping up and down on the sidelines after she supposedly was "too injured" to shoot her free throws?

that's a rule I wouldn't mind them changing. No problem w/subbing in for the player but I don't agree w/the player being able to come back in right away.
 
hoohaa!! BU escaped by a hair! Great game to watch and sorry to see SDS lose. But happy that the Big 12 has gone 3-0 tonight.
 
(mumble, mumble) congrats bears, ou, & isu. The only team I'm really pulling for is a&m. Mainly because if they win they would be defeating uconn!
 
the ACC took a nose dive in the 2nd round, after going 6-0 in the 1st round. the SEC didn't do so hot either.

Pac 10....3-0
 
Am always happy to see a B12 advance. I am saddened that our Horns didn't show up with their A game for the first game because I think they could have beaten Ohio State and now Duke is out so who knows what could have been... could have been... could have been...

But back to Baylor... call it sour grapes if you must but I do not like that school. I do not like their mission. I do not like their coach. I do not like that coach's hair. I do not like her outfits. I do not like their fans. I do not like their gym. I do not like the way they treat the fans of opposing teams in that gym. I do not like the parking available around that gym. I do not like the Interstate that you have to drive on to get to that parking for that gym. I do not like the town of Waco you have to drive through to get to the parking for that gym. I do not like Baylor at all. I do not like it Sam I am....

BTW, although the announcers said it was a Tech foul against Robinson & GT shot tech. fouls when I'm looking on the box scores it shows no technical fouls where called. Of course, ESPN also said a&m had 32 steals earlier in their game & now it says 20

I thought Baylor's sub for Allison was a smart but smarmy (yes, it's a real word) move....but then, LA Trailer Queens don't have a lot of class.....

And yes, I think Carla would have made the difference between an L and a W in that game. It was just too close to not think your starting guard wouldn't ahve made the difference... could have been... could have been....

Yep. Completely a legit play... if your player is really too injured to take her shots... clearly not the case here... when they scored that last basket her knee did just fine as she did those cheerleader-style high jumps for joy...

It's going to be interesting to see how Iowa St does for the next round. If Weiban is out I don't know that they will move on. It seems as if I remember they don't go very deep on their bench. Anyone remember?
