Big 12 Getting Revenge?

Again, we all know 0 penalties for Okie State. Think again about what is being said here, that the Big 12 is after Texas. Then why the favorable fumble/targeting review against ISU? Why the favorable muffed punt and targeting reviews against OSU? Come on, those could have easily gone against Texas.

Fact is, some of you sound like Aggies right now. Texas played sloppy and was penalized for it.

Snap out of it.
You are wrong! I don't know who said that the penalties cost the game and don't insult anybody on this board with a reference to being like and Aggie, unless you want to take that rap. Then it is ok by me if you want to be compared to one. And I certainly did not suggest that the Big XII was after Texas and most on this board did not suggest that. But don't be a fool in thinking that the game was called fairly in regard to Okie State. You are smarter than that. We have two glaring examples of pitiful performance by officials during the series with that team. Anyone with any knowledge of football would know that the flag stayed in the pocket in some cases because they intended to not call a penalty. We are not talking about penalties against Texas but the absence of penalties on them.

Some did. Some are saying that is exactly what is happening, the Big 12 is making a concerted effort to rule against Texas with penalties in games.

Anyway, I like your posts most of the time, I just happen to disagree here.

I think there's a big difference between a concerted, organized effort to influence games and an unspoken culture where resentment builds until individuals allow that to seep into their judgments on the field. I don't think most of those guys go into a game specifically thinking "I'm gonna screw this team over." But in the excitement of the moment, emotions take over, and I have no doubt whatsoever that normally reasonable people will make unreasonable decisions.

In the case of the OSU game, there might have been a lot less resistance to those moments than normal.

And that is what makes this board so good. Disagreement without hitting below the belt. To you as well.

I’d like an explanation on the officiating from 2008. Two teams benefitted far more than others, and it massively affected outcomes.

Conspiracy or not?

The one game I really felt we got screwed was the Bama game. Targeting on Bryce young that gets reversed but we didn't get the safety because of it. And the missed call on the face mask probably cost us a TD. Would have been 1st and goal at the 4. Like how on earth do you miss a face mask when it on the ball carrier that everyone is watching.

Not to mention the blatant holding on Bryce Youngs long run on their final drive.
