For me Halo, then Halo 2 surpassed it in terms of time spent and enjoyment...but they're both at risk of succombing to my new fave, Call of Duty 4.

Wow. That game rules. Haven't played Halo even once since my first foray into COD4 on XBOX Live.

I agree with Dues ex.

If you vote for best game for me it is Asheron's call - darktide.

It changed my life forever. AC was my first MMO, Darktide my first PVP experience.

9 years and probably 15 games later I still play with people I met in that game and people still run the other way when they see Animal Mother coming.
