Whitney's was lip synced for the television audience. If you were there at the stadium, you heard the real thing. I didn't think it was a story still as it was reported that way that night.

The reason they all lip-sing them is because those huge stadiums aren't really ideal for singing and a lot of times they'll come off as being off key because they can't hear themselves.
