Besides the Rose bowl win over USC what is your favorite Texas bowl game.

It was a shame that Worster’s last game was his worst.

Can’t imagine why he wouldn’t take ND seriously. We barely beat them the year before.

I cannot believe nobody has listed the '99 Cotton Bowl, during which we saw Ricky be Ricky. During which we saw him do the Heisman pose (having already won it, it wasn't presumptuous). During which we saw multiple cocky little MSU defenders leave concussed from trying to tackle him. During which we serenaded Pooooooooor Jackie!

That was a very fun day.

That's pretty funny, I totally forgot about that game. I remember making the comment that if Texas had played any team from 6 to 20 that year, the results would have been the same. That team peaked at the end of the year and though they finished 18th (I believe), they would have given anyone outside of the top 4 or 5 a real run for their money. I'm also pretty confident had they played UCLA and KSU later in the year they beat both those teams.

I can't say enough how good it felt to beat the crap out of Jackie, I have high school buddies that still call him the greatest coach ever, and I just hated him.

1970 Cotton Bowl. Freddie. James. Tom Campbell.

Plus: Halsell, Henderson, Wuensch, Lester, Spreyer, Worster, Koy, Bertelsen, Ploetz, Dean, Mitchell, Wiegand, Zapalac, Arledge, Atessis, Peschel, Stout, White, McKay, Nabors off the top of my head.

2004 Rose, I was there, it was and still is one of the best memories ever.:cowrose:
I was so PROUD of my HORNS!!!

...also, many on HORNFANS helped me get over 200 injured MARINES up from San Diego to go to the ROSE BOWL....it was a great, great game and a wonderful memory in my life....

2007 Holiday Bowl vs Arizona State. And I don't think he actually quite touched the ball. That was still the most bizarre incident / review / penalty I've ever seen.

That ‘99 Cotton Bowl was an incredible scene, game started at 10 am and entire upper deck was in a fog that made whole scene surreal, Ricky was incredible and the defense stepped up to just shut down a Mississippi State offense that was supposed to be pretty stout. It’s not on the level of the ‘05 Rose Bowl against Michigan or the 2001 Holiday Bowl but it definitely is an honorable mention on my list of Bowl games attended.

And since we are adding honorable mentions I would also add the 1994 Sun Bowl win over UNC with Priest Holmes going off and literally taking off from the five and Superman’ing into the end zone for the last of his four TD runs to win the game.
