Two more starting pitchers down and the Rangers are now in 4th place in the American League West. The team lost ground to the Astros over a three game series. Maybe it's time to start playing (and trading) for next year.

who is monitoring the strength/conditioning of the Rangers? I only ask because it seems they are having a recent history of more than the normal injuries? Maybe they need to call or pray to the injury JOBU ?

Please, JD, don't start trading the farm players for a chance to stay competitive NOW.
I think there are just too many injuries to make a realistic attempt at playoffs this season.

I don't even know if JOBU can keep the DL from growing

I think any realistic expectations for this season were set yesterday with the twin injuries. This team has a strong foundation for next year so I dont want to see any foolish trades that mortgage the future for some chance this year when that ship has sailed.

^Agree. Let's see how Tepisch and Martinez develop while pitching in the majors. There have been too many injuries this year - no need to make a dumb band-aid trade in hopes of making it this year when there is plenty of potential in the farm system to contend for the long haul.

Looks lie Fielder is gone for the season now. I guess the good news is that injury was the reason for his below-expectations performance. It would be hard to replace Fielder's projected output, but I think a lot of triple A first basemen might do as well as he's done so far this season.
Maybe Kevin Kouzmanoff (if he comes off the DL.)
