Beat Duke!!!!

As sketchy as we have been playing this half and to go 5:03 without scoring a single point, I am amazed to be down 5 with the ball. Really?

We can't really play much worse, right? Right?
 
Kellogg made a key point about Balbay and Mason that we as fans have seen all year. Duke knows they aren't going to shoot and that really hamstrings our offense.
 
wow, james launches a 3 that shatters the backboard and immediately upon getting it back jumps out of bounds and throws it to no one for a TO, and then atchley commits an offensive foul for no reason. way to value possessions guys.
 
39 seconds to go when we get the ball back. What the hell was AJ doing shooting so early in the clock? At least we scored or we could have gone in down 9. This team is a head scratcher.
 
atchley didnt foul anybody. rewind it and watch the terrible call yourself. he just set up for the ball. ticky tack calls will hurt us.
 
They are going to start feeding Dex the rock in the 2nd half and the Dookies will over compensate and leave AJ alone for .000234 seconds... BOOM MF'er...game on

The turnovers have happened for the last 3 blowouts.

Duke pressures the ball, and plays denial one pass away. Texas under Barnes depends on dribbling for ball movement. That has gotten the team killed. I'm pleased they're in it as much as they at to this point. If they can get some of Duke's more important players in foul trouble early in the second half I'll feel better about things.

I wish Pittman hadn't earned that 2nd foul, though.
 
The turnovers are killing us. Duke has shot the ball 8 more times and made a couple of threes. We've also missed a couple of easy shots as usual. Lets see if we can't keep from turning the ball over the second half.
 
Dogus needs to not only shoot but actually make one to force Duke to evaluate their defensive strategy.

We MUST open up the inside with Pittman or another big guy freeing up the outside where...

...our shooters MUST make their shots. If they do, the inside opens up.

Nothing new or novel above. It just feels good to type the obvious and vent a little bit.

Bad calls are going both ways. I won't complain about that.

Come on Longhorns...Cowboys fan rooting for you, but your PG situation is killing you right now...too many turnovers!

Are we really going to the line with a chance to tie this game? Did Balbay really score? Did AJ start maybe finding his stroke?
 
we still keep turning it over but at least we're killing on the non-turnover possessions right now. we seem to fall asleep on D too much in terms of what is happening behind us. the on the ball defense is solid.
 
Connor sucking has been a huge downfall of this team. We need another shooter to open up the floor and we just don't have one. We will get some shooters next year so that should help. Now if Ward or Balbay can improve enough then we'll be right back where we want to be.
