BCG Gone

From what I remember reading, Reese and Barnes talked about how often and how long you should hold practices. Barnes learned from Reese that he was asking too much from his team in practice.
 
Basically, Reese explained to Barnes that you can't work your team hard constantly and expect good performance on game day. If you want them to have legs for the game, you have to lighten up the day before, and sometimes recovery time afterward.

Barnes has taken it to heart and gives days off, and shortens practice as the season gets later.

He has Todd Wright to reinforce him on these things.
 
Sounds like Reese is talking about tapering in a form. I agree, you cannot hold a practice before a game (BCG) and expect your players to be sharp.
