Cynt you're correct. If Kim was the Texas coach, we'd love her for her passion and emotion and defend her coaching style to anyone that dared criticize it. She's taking a team full of freshman to the Final Four. From 3/4 empty section at the Erwin Center, where I have season tickets, her coaching style looks like it's working.

I'll be there again next year--I'm sure with fewer fellow fans--hoping again for better from this program.
 
I was hoping that Mulkey would have been brought to Texas when the job was open. Was also hoping she would bring BG with her. Neither happened and now they are in the Final Four and we are sitting at home bitching about how much we hate her and Griner. They will be in the Final Four for the next three years, as well...

I guess Tanya Tucker sings a pretty sweet tune.
 
We all have our opinions but I can tell you that I would NOT like her passion and whatever it was you called it. I am embarrassed for her when I see her occasionally on the sidelines. I could not watch her all season. I respect those of you who like her, but I do not, AT ALL! And don't tell me that if she were the coach at UT that I would like her, no, I'd be doubly embarrassed, once for her and once for Texas.
 
Who are you to tell me who I would or wouldn't like? A LOT of fans left the FEC when Conradt retired. For whatever reason, Gail is not their cup of tea. Their choice. Had Mulkey been the replacement, I would have left with them. My choice.

It took Mulkey 5 years to get to the Finals. In her third year, she didn't make the tournament at all. I am sure the Baylor fans are happy she came back for season 4. Come back in two years and talk to me about who has the better coach.

Until then, I loves me some G!!!!!!

Rexy/BBV--Sorry but I'm calling B.S. on that. If Kim were our coach, and we were going to the Final Four, you'd not only be on the bandwagon, you'd be driving it.
Her behavior would be admired and respected. It's only because she coaches a rival team--and is more successful--people on this board don't like her.
 
WCBB - I didn't say she was a better coach - I said it's hogwash that if she was here and we were on our way to the final four we wouldn't support the her, the team and the school. Believe me the Alamodome would be a sea of BURNT ORANGE!! Believe that!!

Sidebar: I love Coach G too and I'm in it for the long haul..bad, good or indifferent.
 
the idea that kmr or anyone like her would ever be associated with the university of texas is so far beyond the realm of possibility its not even worth discussing...so why are we? whether or not she is a good coach is beside the point, she simply isn't longhorn material. and while a few (very few) might disagree the conversation is pointless because it would never happen.
