Should be a good rematch between KMR and Coach P. I have to go with Duke to win. If Baylor does win, that would do some serious damage to UT's recruiting.

I'm less opposed to Oklahoma winning their Elite 8 game vs Kentucky.

Should Griner even be playing? When Blount gets suspended for almost an entire season for punching another player, and she gets two games just in time for the tournament, I question her even being on the court. Mulkey sold her soul for games and spit on what was the right thing to do. UT shouldnt be affected at all. We have Austin, we have better facilities and a greater tradition, so far anyway.

Again, Baylor shouldnt have even made it this far. Griner should have been suspended the rest of the season. Timing shouldnt have made a lick of difference.
 
I think Mulkey should have had at least a couple of technicals by now. She must have majored in theater at La Tech.

IMHO, Griner should have been suspended for the rest of this season. Two games is trivial. Mulkey talked big in interviews about "the punch" but she sure didn't hand down too much of a punishment.
 
That was a painfully boring game to watch. And as sick as I am of UConn winning, I hope the Huskies give the Baptists a good double-digit defeat (more would be better).

I can hardly wait to see what God-awful outfit Kim pulls out for the Final Four.

I also hope that Doris Burke isn't calling the games at the Final Four. She knows it ALL.
 
My goodness, if I hear Doris Burke say the word "comport" one more time I'm going to rip every hair on my head out with tweezers.
 
Although it pains me to say, I am glad Baylor won, ONLY because there is so much swill about how the Big 12 is such an overrated conference (amongst the rank and file, not the media). It's nice to have at least one team in the FF - maybe 2 if OK holds serve.
 
Don't get me wrong, It's great if two teams from the Big XII make it to the Final Four. I just won't be pulling for the Baptists. I'll be pulling for the team that gave Jamie to us.

You have to give Baylor some credit. In recent years they really have found out how to win against big opponents in late season. Wish Texas could find the same formula!

It's not that I'm not giving Baylor credit........................but it's that I'm ONLY happy they won because they represent the B12 and I get tired of reading on the message boards how the B12 is overrated.

That said, I expect UConn to beat them by 30 and I can't say that I will be sad.

It IS good to see the B12 represent... we all knew this was
a strong (if not the strongest) conference and now everyone else knows it too. Mulkey did this in 10 years. In seven years I think Coach G will have equal if not better credits at UT.

It has been a tough few (5-6 actually) years. I am happy for change. I look forward to the next 5-6 watching us grow and succeed.

Mulkey has been with Baylor 10 years, but it took her 5 years to turn a perenially losing team into a national championship team. And they've been near the top ever since. All the put downs on this board are kind of funny. If she were ever to become the coach at UT I would love to see the reactions of the posters here. And don't kid yourselves, you'd still be fans of the team and (if she won like she has at Baylor) the posts would all show some luv!
 
If KM became the coach at UT, lots of folks here would be happy. Me? I'd have to throw up. Will it happen? Yeah, when hell freezes over.
 
If you think for one minute that I would buy a ticket to watch those histrionics on the sidelines, you have another think coming. And the comical wardrobe. And the mudbug schtick.

Love her or hate her....Mulkey is a great coach who believes in her players and fights for her players.

Loyalty can be a good thing...but it can also be a bad thing. Jody should have retired after the Final Four appearance in 2003. Gail would be well in her system by now.

I think she needs a few more players, alll american's that haven't been hurt or that they are sitting on the bench. Injuries are bad, but all americans can't really play if they are hurt.

We will get there. I have seen Gail fight for her team and she is a good coach.

Now let's root for BU to beat Conneticut!!!!!!!!!
 
Nope. Not kidding myself. Couldn't and wouldn't support the program with Sulkey Mulkey at the helm. There is this thing called respect. You have to earn it for me to give it to you and that woman is an embarrassment on the sidelines. She has done wonders at Baylor. Good for her. Glad she is not with us.

Congrats to UT Swimming and Diving for bringing home an NC

I like Kim and think she is a hoot and a good coach, but I still would be a little embarrassed if she were our coach. I agree with the comments about Doris Burke. She truly knows everything. She repeats her talking points over and over until I just can't hear it again. Are we going to be sick of hearing the words "Britney Griner" after 3 more years or what. As you all have said, she shouldn't have even been back in the lineup until next year. The player who knocked me out that we never hear anything about is Amber Harris. I would put her up there with Moore and Charles for player of the year.
 
Hate to go against the grain but I love Kim. She's passionate about the game, her players and coaching. I doubt she would have considered coming to UT if approached just because it is a school within the same conference and she has her system set up for several years down the road. I would expect Notre Dame or some other big basketball school will lure her away from Waco before too long and Baylor will sink back into mediocrity. I'm still supporting GG but we need to see more movement forward.
 
Stop hating on Mulkey. And for all of you who say you wouldn't support her if she came to the 40 Acres - HOG WASH!!!

All of us are very competitive and we want to win! If Mulkey came to UT and started putting "W's" on the board we would all be overjoyed. Everyone wants a winning team, regardless of who the coach might be. Yes it would take some time to get over her antics but as long as she was leading the team to victory - who cares!!?!?!?

Wouldn't support her? Yeah right!

Obviously, Mulkey is doing a great job at Baylor.

One thing that has bugged me a bit recently is all the "begging" she seems to do while being interviewed. Either it's trying to convince the media that "Brittney is such a sweet child" or acting like her team doesn't get enough respect or by asking for Baylor fans to go support the team in San Antonio like they did for the Baylor men in Houston. Now, there isn't necessarily anything wrong with that, it's just that IMO her tone is that of someone "begging" for certain treatment or understanding . . .
