But I guess Okie Lite has an overall better sports program than UT because it has won 48 national championships in the Big 12 vs. Texas' 45 (aggy has 4 --- individual wins for discus, javelin, women's 400, and another track event I don't recall).

However, taken into context, Okie Light is Okie Heavy on wrestling, save for a couple of men's golf titles.

All much ado about little IMHO.

No program at any school beats its rival in every sport every year. No matter how big or small a difference in overall quality they may have.

If someone put a gun to my head and said I must predict whether Texas will win more often over aggy in football, basketball, and baseball (all that really count, anyway) over the next 10 years, I'd take Texas and not even hold my breath.

The sad reality about this Lone Star trophy/title/whatever its called is that Texas works hard to remain interested while aggy works hard trying to justify their athletic program.
