Barnes SUCKS! He has to go. NOW!

I'm kinda done worrying about basketball. The college game has been watered down by the ranks of AAU and poor fundamentals in high schools.

You basically have to be lucky enough to get a few kids who halfway know what they're doing and pull it together in March. This could literally happen to anyone, including Texas. No one cares that FGCU lost to Stetson a month ago.

There is so little emphasis on coaching and scheming. It's too easy to blame Barnes for the way that things turned out for us this year. If Barnes is going to be blamed for anything, it's putting too much trust into kids who went through mental blocks while shooting.

Barnes sucks and there are some damn good coaches available. But Dodds and Belmont are committed to mediocre programs i.e. what FB and baseball have become. TX basketball is unwatchable and it is a fine time to be creating a HC candidate list.

I do not think Barnes sucks. Yet, I do agree that he needs to be released, and the University needs to seek a young successful, coach.

New energy, new offense to accompany tough defense is what I think we need to get back on a great basketball track.

Nonatentive like Texas_Taps has officially achieved troll status which means "not to be taken seriously anymore." Don't feed the troll and they will wither away. Keith Frazier a 5-star guard from Texas just announced he's going to TEXAS TECH. We have two players transferring, will probably lose Kabongo and have nothing to speak of coming in. Yet we hear INANE commentary that appears to be a defense of Barnes.

I really didn't think Minnesota had much chance to get Smart, but I was surprised that he turned down UCLA to stay at VCU. Perhaps he's waiting for the Texas job to become available.

Nice post, Hu. And you can't help but wonder if it isn't easier to coach up players who are not mega-star recruits who, if they buy into their ratings, possibly think there's really no one out there who can coach them to get even better.

The Kevin Durants and Lamarcus Aldridges of the world are exceptions, as I see it.

Now it looks like Brad Stevens has joined Shaka Smart in waiting for the Texas job to open up after reportedly turning down a lucrative offer from UCLA.
