Here's one of the protesting bands, the Lambrini Girls. I think the festival will do just fine without them:



What voices! What musicianship! Greatest melodies since Mozart! Brilliant video too, so insightful!

That's fine; anarchy makes art. What else can it be? It's no solution to life's problems. If you want to crack up on stage and have a mental meltdown over your problems, then that's your call. In the end, you just want to be paid. It's a sad thing to exploit anger for money. Capitalism comes in all forms.

Why is a governor involving himself in this? This music event is not a government project. Some bands pull out because a military sponsorship is involved but the military is the US, not Texas. So if our weenie president wants to whine so be it. Abbott needs to consider that just because something happens in Texas doesn’t mean our cruddy state government is involved.
He is such an attention hoar that I guess he can’t resist. Our state constitution creates a weak governor system. He needs to back off and just sign or veto and make appointments.

But, Hui, there were TV cameras covering the story as well as photographers. You would deny Greg a photo op? Shame on you.

As much as I don't care for him, he has sone a great job of building a war chest and drawing attention. I told a friend the other day that Abbott is on TV more in a month than other governors have in four years.
