Bama's remaining schedule - SEC is overrated

The SEC can be overrated and still the best conference at the same time. They just aren't as dominant as they think they are. The Big 12, this year, may very well be the best conference.

The SEC folk have a double standard when it comes to in-conference losses.

When an Ole Miss beats Florida at the swamp, it's "well that just shows how deep and tough our conference is. SEC! SEC! SEC!"

When USC loses to Oregon St, it's "see the Pac-10 sucks, they don't even have one good team"

Lately, his has been the attitude here on hornfans re: the Big 12 which is kinda understandable since the last couple of years, the Big 12 has really stepped up its game.

The last time Alabama won the game before the Iron Bowl was 2002.

How many of those games during that time span were against LSU? Is this year's MSU team equivalent to those previous LSU teams?

I never said Florida's offense was any good. It consists of a QB run, a reverse to Percy Harvin, or a pass to Percy Harvin. That's not a good offense.

Besides, you're the one who said this Tate fellow was a big time RB for Auburn and how most of Auburn's offense would start for OU, USC, or Georgia.

Either way, Auburn averaged 3.3 yards per play against a bad Tennessee defense. Pretty is as pretty does and it has little to do with formations.

Tenn has given up 288, 275, 243, and 226 yards in its four games this year. Those are good #s, and they've improved each week. This is not a bad Tennessee defense.

Regardless, what you have is a 4-1 team that's only loss is a 5 point loss to the defending national champs who have the most talented team in the nation. It's far from "homerism" to think that they'll beat Alabama for 7th time in a row, especially given the way the teams will shape up for a stretch run. Of course, to comprehend that, you have to be able to look beyond shallow, static analysis.

TN hasn't played anybody good. They got pounded by Florida and they're not a great offense.

I go back to Auburn scoring 3 points against a Miss. State offense that have up 437 yards rusing to mighty Georgia Tech. Mack of that what you will.
