Watch the blocking scheme on Bama's second TD. Hard to tell if the right guard was trapping or pulling, but he picked up two blitzing defenders. Bama's OL also seems to be able to recognize and pick up stunts.

Both seem to be novel concepts.

You mean it is legal for an OL to block more than one guy on the same play? What a concept!

Bama seems like they have been in second gear all game. Didn’t need to do more and never bothered to. There was never a point where I felt ND would stay within 14 points even if they managed several scores against a Bama defense that is not as formidable as years past, which of course they didn’t anyway. Had Bama needed to turn on the offense was there really any doubt they could have. They are scary good.

Alabama sent the house on the last play. I always wonder why so many coaches ahem. Choose to play defense in that situation. Make the QB make a quick throw.
