Bachman Pledges to Ban Pornography

My main question is whether the statement is true. Are African American children really less likely to have 2 parents today than during slavery? If so that is a chilling fact and should cause us to think about what factors have caused that so that we can eliminate them. If it is not true, it is a careless statement which should be rejected.
 
didn't slave owners take kunta kinte's daughter away from him and his wife? that is the legacy of slavery. maybe everybody had 2 parents and maybe they didn't. they just weren't your parents. it takes a village.
 
It is not clear what is meant by 'Humane protection,' though they seem to want to lump legal and illegal activities into a single boat headed away...but to where?

I like the fact that the protection is to be afforded to the 'innocent fruit' of 'conjugal intimacy,' which has the flavor of ignoring the needs of those born from non-conjugal intimacy. I would guess that is not what they meant.

I don't see any desire to suggest that slavery was better for African-Americans, but rather a clumsy, or purposefully inflammatory, statement aimed at the welfare state. It is not clear why blacks need to be singled out if the welfare state is at issue, or, if so, why slavery needs to be included, or, granting all of that, why the race of the current president is important. Conservatives loves that kind of **** for some reason. You tell me.

I hope she signs it and has it tattooed on her bicep. She will be a beacon to heavy right Christian thinkers and she cannot win.

Wonder why they use a lower case 'i,' i.e., 'FAMiLY.'

You aren't looking hard enough. Jesus spoke continuously about abortion, contraception, porn, tax cuts, increased military spending, foreign invasions, more nukes, unlimited campaign spending by corporations, incarceration of drug offenders and the deterrent effect of capital punishment.

In fact, he proved capital punishment works. After he was executed for blasphemy, you didn''t hear anybody else claim Jesus was God, now did you?
 
I'd like to know more about Gary Johnson. I hate it that people think he has no chance. Jeez the election is a year and a half from now.
