Comments on last evening's Women's Athletic Department Awards Banquet? I thought that the emphasis on academics was a good change. Bev Kearney's comments were the highlight of the evening.

Lots of fun as always! In a repeat performance, EDub was named Academic MVP. Ashley Lindsey was named Most Improved Player. Well deserved.

Gail was there. She commented that this event was a milestone for her as the banquet last year was her first official event with UT. So this year was a 1 year anniversary. She spoke of the experience of moving to Texas. How much she enjoyed being surrounded by coaches and staff who exude the positive atmosphere that is UT. She talked about the losing streak in late season and the motivational talks with the team prior to the run that led to the NCAA tournament bid. She praised the team for their dedication and effort to make the tournament and to go to the second round. She said this is just an indicator of things to come in the future. A very upbeat and positive presentation.
