This just came from my sister who lives in Spring. This young woman that works with my brother-in-law accidentally struck a man on a dark road and killed him. I'm no Bible-thumper, but I got sick just thinking about how that would feel. Please say a quick prayer for Sandra!
Subject: Urgent prayers needed!
Please join me in praying for a young woman named Sandra. She works with Dane at the bank and last night was involved in a fatal auto-pedestrian accident. She was the driver of the automobile.
It was after dark, and she was headed to Tomball for one of her night classes. After driving through the intersection of 2920 and 2978, a man appeared from out of nowhere crossing 2920 on foot on a very dark section of the road, and she did not have time to stop or swerve to miss him. He was dead at the scene.
At this time, all we know about the man was he was a hispanic in his mid-30's. An autopsy is being performed to determine if he was drunk or under the influence of drugs.
Sandra is an emotional wreck. Dane went to the accident scene to be with her when she couldn't reach any of her family members right away. He held and comforted her as she sobbed, and she became physically ill when the EMT told her that the man had died. I'm sure she is extremely distraught over (albeit accidentally) causing the death of another human being.
Obviously, prayers are needed for her comfort and emotional/physical strength. But also that she would not experience any unnecessary legal battles from the family of the victim. Finally, prayers for the family that they would feel God's peace and comfort while they grieve.
