We got to Waterloo at about 9 on Sunday.
They ran out of beer at about 7:30.
I saw several shed tears, which got me to thinking.
Are there any places in Austin that, if they closed, you'd either cry or come close?
My first nominee would be Hole In the Wall. You'd be surprised to know how much of the Texan's business (at least during my time) was conducted in the back room of the Hole in The Wall. Then again, if you saw The Texan during that time, maybe you wouldn't be surprised. I drive by there at least once a month and think that I really need to stop in a get a beer and reassure myself that it isn't going anywhere, but I never quite do. Maybe tomorrow.
I think Trudy's might get a nomination from me, too. By weight, I think I was about 20 percent Mexican martini my senior year.
Any one else got any?
