P.S. Who knew Tom Hanks had completely lost his mind? I didn't.

Piers Morgan had a great interview with the director of that propo. If the video didn't turn your stomach, the interview should.

TRANSCRIPT:
Piers Morgan: "Most documentary makers balance these movies with the negative as well as the positive. What are the negatives in your movie about Barack Obama?

Davis Guggenheim: "Well, I mean the negative for me was, there were too many accomplishments. I had 17 minutes to put them all in there."

Piers Morgan: "Oh, come off it! You can't say that with a straight face. Come on."

Davis Guggenheim: "I'm looking at you right now with a straight face."

Piers Morgan: "The only negativity about Barack Obama is there are too many positives?"

Davis Guggenheim: "That was the negative -- excuse me, that was the negative for me."

Piers Morgan: "Oh."

...

Piers Morgan: "But where do you find fault in him, personally?"

Davis Guggenheim: "I -- you know, I don't. I don't, frankly."

Piers Morgan: "He's a perfect human being?"

Davis Guggenheim: "Well, no. but I'm really quite in awe of him, as a leader, and the choices he's made."

Piers Morgan: "I mean, I'm only asking because you are a well-known documentary maker, and this would be the first movie, I guess, you've made where it's all completely positive. And even you personally don't see any negative at all in the guy. Do you think you were the right guy to make this? I mean, are you dispassionate enough to make a Barack Obama video?"

Davis Guggenheim: "But, Piers, you haven't seen the movie. You've only seen the trailer."

Piers Morgan: "Well, I've asked you to list all the negatives and you said the only negative was you couldn't put enough positives in."

Davis Guggenheim: "Well, that's true. That's true."

Hollywood has a greater concentration of imbeciles and morons than anyplace on Earth with the possible exception of aggyville.

In an odd way, Guggenheim reminds me of many conservatives, including some posting here, who also exhibit an unreasoning, emotional response to everything about President Obama. His version happens to be irrational adoration instead of irrational hatred.

There is nothing irrational about despising a man who lies through his teeth and insults the conservative half of this country on a daily basis.

You won't believe this, but I actually believed that he was who he said he was back in 08. I didn't vote for him but I was cautiously optimistic.

I wonder if Obama derangement syndrome has surpassed its related disorder, Bush derangement sytem.

It seems like it, but that may just be the immediacy of his Presidency.

Either way, it is at least entertaining to observe.

The problem with the derangement syndrome is that it allows people to give a president more and more power over our populace and eliminate checks and balances.

Tom Hanks and the Hollywood minions want to make Obama the L. Ron Hubbard of politics.

Holy ****! This is like a case study.

thanks to everyone for the great input.

The analogy to Guggenheim is more accurate than I even realized. This also is very reminiscent of the left wing during the Bush years.

I thought this was going to be the Tom Hanks vid where he jokes around with a guy in black face. huge afro wig and holding a stuffed gorilla with bananas.

I wonder why the left doesn't consider that racist?

What you don't understand is that when you make the comment that some here are on the extreme other side of Davis Guggenheim, you would only have a point if unemplyment, gas prices was much lower, GDP had real growth. We lost our freaking triple A credit rating. We are going from $10 trillion in debt to over $15 Trillion in debt in just 3 years. Insurance have jumped 10% per house hold in 2011. What in the hell is irrational about that? If everything was rosie and you had this kind of response then yes, that would be irrational. You are down playing where we are at as a country which puts you much closer to Davis Guggenheim than any of us being irrational.

I35,

I think I see the problem. You must see the President as an all-Powerful figure.

I don't. However, I envy your trust in the ability of government to solve all of our problems.

Bo was lying AGAIN even as you posted in this thread.
Bo told reporters
'Obviously, we wish Solyndra hadn’t gone bankrupt,” Obama said. “But understand: This was not our program per se.”

he tried to blame in on Congress both Dems and GOP.from link
BO, "Congress — Democrats and Republicans — put together a loan guarantee program because they understood historically that when you get new industries, it’s easy to raise money for start-ups, but if you want to take them to scale, oftentimes there’s a lot of risk involved, and what the loan guarantee program was designed to do was to help start up companies get to scale,” he said."

Except not a SINGLE Republican voted for this in the House and only 2 Rinos in the Senate

BO thinks Americans are fools.

Horn6721,

With the results of his presidency and all his lying, it's baffling that half our population can't see through this.

Half of America that knows better is insulted.
The other half that believes all his lies are shaking their head like he's a messiah. UNBELIEVABLE!

So for cover Bo says Congress voted for the Recovery and Reinvestment ACt
but Congress did NOT vote to give Solyndra money.

I hope even the supporters see this for what it is

Actually wouldn't an etch-a-sketch be the perfect analogy for Obama and the pipeline?

"No to this pipeline! 3 years is not enough time to determine if this is a good decision for America"

public disagrees = shaking of etch-a-sketch

"Hey Oklahoma, I love the pipeline. I wish I could have pipeline in my morning cereal."
