ASU v. UNC

Maybe Leake will be ready again.....

WildBill...
The box score at ESPN shows just one... Spence.
He's thrown 127 pitches so far. (84 strikes, he's pretty good)

Not sure what they now decide to do.
If they take him out to give their relievers work and rest Spence (their #2 man) for possible help should they get to Sat... what if the damn breaks in the 8th and 9th, and UNC makes a dramatic comeback?

Strange that ESPN booth is calling this one over already. How fair is that to the UNC fans?? ASU still needs to get 6 more outs to end it.

Not only have they already called the game; however, they're discussing when Spence could pitch in the finals...wow! I believe they still have to face TEXAS!

I'm betting we'll see Blair tomorrow. These were his stats in conference play along with Leake and Spence to compare them against similar competition.

I'm sure this looks like hell since the tabs and columns don't cut and paste properly, but Blair seems to be a notable drop off from the other two.

We were hitting Leake just fine from the first inning on the last time we saw him, just didn't quite convert... until the 4th anyway.

We can beat anyone they throw against us, let's end this thing tomorrow night and move on to the final series.

The freshman from Sachse finished the game tonight. I think it's Blair and the regular bullpen Friday. From their point of view, their coach actually has a pretty good setup. Saturday would be Leake and bullpen. Sunday is a day off, Spence could pitch Monday or Tuesday.

Of course that's all academic. All we have to do is shut down Calhoun tomorrow night, and it's over for them.
