Should be one of the "less difficult" SEC matchups for us, but one never knows for sure.

Higginbottom and Keats appear to be quite the scorers. In fact, if Higginbottom was on another team, she would probably be getting some press coverage. In any event, it would be nice to see a less chaotic game, i.e. no "ref show".
 
Our pressure defense should definitely create problems for them. I thought the same thing about Richmond, but it didn't give them there as much trouble as I thought it would.
 
Arkansas references us as #4 in their release… which I think is actually where we will be next week, but we’ll still be #5 when we meet up with the Hogs.

  • Enter from Dean Keeton St.
  • Head SOUTH on Red River St.
  • Turn RIGHT on Clyde Littlefield Dr.
  • Turn LEFT into Manor Garage

Please note that Robert Dedman Drive will be closed at MLK Blvd. and you will not be able to access Manor Garage south of Moody Center.
 
Gotta be concerned about Holle's and Bookers shooting. Colder than an Antarctic ice shelf. 1-12 combined.
Overall team shooting is 37.5.

Moore is having her best game this year.8 pts and 11 rebounds.

Yep, Booker is definitely in a sophomoric funk. She needs to snap out of it or risk falling out of All American contention. This game feels like the team has a lid on its head. Need to blow that thing off and roar!
 
Vic has only subbed in Carlton, Lee for extended minutes and had Jack in for a couple minutes game time.
 
Half of 3rd and scoring is still off. The only thing saving Texas is that they've taken almost twice the number of shots as Arkansas.
 
Uggh! Booker is playing more like Jak than Booker. Hope she can get out of that funk soon.

C'mon Vic, 30 pt lead and you can't get Sarah in the game? She's such a cheerleader she at least deserves a couple of min.
 
Wow, what a difference a 4th period makes. It seemed like such a low-key game to me, I can't believe Texas scored 90. Everyone not named Booker really came through for the team. Thanks for showing some spunk Preston, Texas will definitely need it as the next five games will probably be brutal.
 
Good game all things considered.
I'm not concerned about Shay or Madison. It's a very long season. I was impressed that Coach did not play 3 starters and Justice nearly entire 3rd quarter without much damage.
Thurs will be a big game with Alabama.

Six players in double figures today and Booker wasn’t one of them. Apparently a good team to hold Taylor out against. January schedule is brutal so hopefully she’ll be feeling good after the rest
 
More than halfway into the season would it be safe to say Booker is officially in a sophomore slunp ?
She had some nice assists but gave it alk back with her shooting turnovers and personal fouls.

Moore had a nice game. Was this a one off ? To be fair Arkansas is not good inside.
Jack ? Well she was not very good today.
Ive said on previous threads that we need a consistant 2nd scorer. At this point we dont have a consistant number 1 scorer although Lee is slowly taking on the role.

This was a win by a large margin against a bad team . Still lots of questions
 
We were a little flat in the first and third quarters today. Good energy by Amo and the bench to get us through. Holle continues to struggle badly, as does Booker. Madison almost appears as if her focus is off... perhaps there is personal distraction of some sort? Not sure what has Shay so off this season. Whatever the case, we need both of them to get back on track immediately. Lots of big games coming up. Good team win overall today.

6 scoring in double digits and two players having a double double is better than a number one scorer in my book. And speaking of Book, she always comes thru when we need her. We’ve won back to back with her in a funk which is the actual story here. A couple of games ago we were scratching our heads about Rori and Amo. Book is averaging 16 ppg (team leader) with 6 rebs and 3 assists. It’s not like she has fallen apart. Other teams focus on her and someone or several ones step up. It’s all good. We are averaging 91 ppg with 4 players averaging double digits - remarkable.
