Are the Titans trying to pick poorly?

2 guys from directional schools...wtf?

This is laughable.

What the **** are they thinking? And i thought the Texans not picking Vince was a draft blunder..

This is seriously ridiculous.

I think they were blindsided by Pitt picking Sweed. Surely they have a plan to get some WR help...
right?

Morons. There is just no logical explanation for this. They bet on someone falling to them and then lost, you dont bet someone will fall to you they rarely do.

You really think they would have taken Sweed if he had fell to them? I think yall are giving them too much credit.......

Fisher said something like "There are some potential starting WRs in later rounds"... Did they pay NO attention to their draft last year? Seems like they're doing the exact same stuff.

Who is left with any real quality - Manningham?

This is exactly what I was afraid of. Instead of going after what they need in the first round, they took a chance that a high value guy would magically fall into their laps and the run on WR early in the second rd bit them in the ***.
Their problem is they have shown they are not willing to go after a premier WR via trade or FA. Top flight WR are less likely to go to Tennesse because of the perception that they are not a passing team. Therefore they a relegated to finding one in the draft, yet this is what happens when they get their chance? To get to the next level they need a #1 reciever who can average more than 2-3 catches a game and make yards after the catch. You are not likely to get that if you don't go after top 5 recievers. Now they are gonna have to spend another year with a WR crew built around guys that other teams have cut. Crap.

How does Pittsburgh picking Sweed blind side them? They had a pick before Pitt took Limas. They got a bunch of clowns in the draft room. It looks like they could just let Fisher draft and they would do better than this. He is a good coach surely he isn't doing this crap. I wish VY was somewhere else now.

1st round pick and they take a running back from E.Carolina. He might be the next Walter Payton, but with all the WR talent on the board, to go RB was simply aggy. Maybe he can get traded to the Texans someday.

Okay, I admit that I'm not Titans fan but even I am outrage at the fact that they actually used a first round pick on a guy that's very similar to a guy they already have: Chris Henry.

Why? I mean... why?

Okay, fine, you don't think the WRs warrant a first round pick. Then why use what you have on a directional school mystery that you probably could've gotten in round 2? Hell, you would've been better served to go with Merling at DE to be a guy to eventually replace Odom (or his replacement).

Oh well. Maybe the Titans think Vince Young is that good and can make any receiver serviceable.

They could have WP and still suck because everyone knows what to expect from Tennessee. Run up the middle, run up the middle, pass incomplete to the shoulder pads of some **** WR, Punt. Rinse and Repeat. And hope the ST unit can get you into field position so you can opt for a field goal instead of a punt.

These Titan Geniuses are clearly out-thinking the rest of us mere mortals. Never mind the results so far, they certainly know more than everyone else, hence drafting two guys well ahead of their draft projections and ignoring the need for a potential star WR. I am impressed by their balls. I like balls.

Okay. I'm to the point that I'm just looking down the road now. How much longer left on VYs contract before he can be a free agent and bail out on these idiots at Tenn?

Isn't this RB just Chris Henry? Was he considered a complete bust? I know he was injured, but he came back and is just a 2nd year....

This is crap. Get a ******* receiver, one who can stretch the field. There are more RB's that you can plug in. But you need a receiver that can catch. Though no receiver this year is a slam dunk, I'd take them over the current roster any day.

Let's see who they passed up so far:

Bigs
Limas & Malcolm. Though both should be better at jump balls being 6'4. Having a big, fast target would've been good. Jordy also has good size.

DeShean Jackson, Avery - Burners. 2/10 second faster than any receiver on roster.

Now, I can respect not taking any receiver in the 1st round, but to pick a 3rd down back. I'm sure there were plenty of areas where they could've shored up depth.

Amateur hour.

They sure better have a plan already in place to get a good, no great WR in trade or something. It is painful to watch this. They are not idiots but they may not be geniuses either. Ugh.

I'm with Pedro. Seriously, how much longer does Vince have to stay in Tennessee? I've been waiting for Roy Williams to finally be liberated from Detroit and he's just about at that point. Would like to see my favorite players supported by management and assisted with their goal of winning football games.

i seriously think they're expecting the NFL to ban the forward pass.

we might see them bust out with the wishbone to start the season

They need to draft Early Doucett if he is still around for their next pick.

Nevermind, they just missed on him also. Doucett to Arizona.
