The info about using a cd box line instead as an aux for the ipod is great. No need for a 12 cd changer in the back anymore. I wish I'd considered it sooner since the casette adapter I've used for so long begs for an upgrade.
I've had my 15GB ipod since 2002. I use it constantly and it's never had a hiccup.
I used to hardwire the ipod to my stereo stack located in a hall closet but that was eclipsed by hardwiring the airbase for the powerbook to the tuner to create wifi music control anywhere inside or outside the house. The previous owners of my 1920's home rigged it for sound with wire from the closet going to 7 pair of speakers (with 3 pair outside). crazy what adding a couple of power amps can do.
