No doubt about that at all. If Duke was overlooking Hartford, they have not paid attention to what Hartford has done under Head Coach Jennifer Rizzotti. They are very good, not great, but definitely good.

Bet that Duke board is melting.

no doubt here! nice win for hartford...not a pretty win by any means. both teams were pretty equal on shooting percentage (26%) and turnovers (~25). hartford got to the foul line 30 times though.

No offense, but what does that have to do with Coach G?

Granted, I definitely believe we have the right coach, but I don't quite see the connection; it's not like we interviewed Coach P or anything . . .

Perhaps the OP was referring to what has happened to Duke since she left and correspondingly what has happened to Texas since she arrived. You are right though, the choice of "right" coach was not the most appropriate. Perhaps the correct term is THE - we got THE COACH!!! AND OMG! AM I EVER GLAD WE DID!!!!

The shift in intensity so far doesn't even compare to this time last year. Coach G has also stated that she likes having a smaller team....and with all 11 players getting considerable amount of playing time, wearing down the opponent,.....

WE HAVE THE BEST COACH!!!

I will admit that when Coach G was at Duke I was not really a fan...probably due to my dislike for Duke (Waner going to Duke sealed the deal for me....I saw her showboat way too many times in high school).

However, I will say that I couldn't be a bigger fan than I am now...she brought such a tremendous fire to this program and I wouldn't trade for any other coach in America. She was the perfect fit for this job. I just wish I could witness a locker room speech or two...I bet they are a sight to see.
