Is this a big deal? No. It's just a crazy person acting crazy. What is a big deal is that the media coverage is woefully unfair. The national mainstream media is going to largely ignore this story. If the parties were reversed, it would be a massive national story that would dominate cable "news" discussions.

But guess what? His social life is a mess. His children won't speak to him.

Red state trump hating is bile producing endeavor. That and some of my dearest friends are trump supporters. Some of my best employees are trumpers. My boss is a trumper. We just don't discuss it unless it's funny. I mean there are longhorns married to Sooners. Sooners can enjoy banter with longhorns.

You're not wrong. I joke that our OU fraternity had more homosexuals than Democrats. Sadly I've seen some decades long friendships go south due to social media and politics. I just remember these knuckleheads are the same ones that I knew from the 80's and 90's. We debated it at 2:00 then, now online.

Ironically, the one place where I do have significant political discussions on Facebook is on the page of a gay socialist from Massachusetts whom I've never actually met. He and I have two mutual friends and sometimes commented on their pages and had pretty good discussions. Obviously, I have huge disagreements with him, but he's intellectually honest and always respectful, so I'll invest a little time to engage with him. Other than that, it's all dick-measuring contests and pissing matches. Not worth the time or trouble.
