What good is Askew? He doesn’t seem to do anything well

He played 24 minutes because of Ramey's foul trouble, 2 assists, no turnovers, 3-4 FTs. He is a true point guard, so he took only 2 shots.

Huge win! Rest of the schedule is brutal with three of the remaining 5 games against Tech, KU, and BU.

Brutal? Sort of. 2 of 3 are at home and OU took Kansas to the wire on KU’s home court. All these games will play a big part in the type of seed the Horns end up with.

I'm concerned about Mitchell and the lack of production from every transfer outside of Bishop/Allen. While Askew and Disu weren't big offensive stars, they produced at least a modicum of success on that end in the SEC. And the SEC isn't super-weak. We're getting nothing out of them, and Beard hasn't figured out how to get them going. Particularly Disu, who I assume is still not 100%.

Carr was good last night, but if we have a potential "newcomer of the year" for a major conference, he should be playing like someone who is NBA-bound.

Mitchell? Something's off. Even that shot selection against KU that saved us in the end. I thought he was going to be a Jericho-type and instead he's like a poor man's Luke Axtell.

Mitchell is apparently having a family emergency or something, so I’d go light on him at this juncture. He’s got some good offensive skills and nifty moves down low on O. He’s not the sort of tough guy down low that Bishop and Allen are. Totally different sort of player.

There were a couple of comments that could potentially have been considered pessimistic. Just a tiny bit.

That's why I don't post during basketball games anymore. I always think we're horrible and cant' do anything right, because basketball is just hard to sit through without getting irritated. After all - the other team keeps scoring! And we keep missing shots!! It's like watching a football game where we fumble or give up a touchdown every 30 seconds... way too easy for me to overreact in the heat of the game.

I think the schedule is “sort of” brutal. Three top ten teams there are TOUGH. If we win two from that threesome it will gruntle me significantly.
